Anyone have items enter your inventory/armory chest and then poof?

I just finished my level 5 armorsmithing quest and one of the rewards(not an optional reward) was a level 5 weapon for armorsmithing(a pair of amateur's pliers). The chat log said it was put in my armory chest along with the pants I chose as the optional reward.

Well when I went to find it the item in my chest and it isn't there. I had room in my chest so it shouldn't have gone to my inventory but i checked each tab and it isn't there. I moused over each item many times and that item never made it to the armory chest and is not in my inventory. I even checked both my retainers in the odd chance they somehow got it and still nothing.

So anyone else have an item on them just poof or is there something stupid I'm overlooking(no I am not currently equipping it either)?

Check again. Those are your secondary tools and you'll find them in the shield slot.

Occasionally I've had quests that say they reward you, but don't. You could keep clicking the NPC and "receive" the rewards over an over. Relogging fixed it, but in general I surmise it a lag issue. But yeah, in this case, check your secondary tools.
