Sony Pictures has commissioned Oculus writer / director Mike Flanagan and his co-writer Jeff Howard to reboot I Know What You Did Last Summer, which itself was based on a 1973 novel by Lois Duncan (that's over 40 summers ago). According to Deadline, this film is a "high priority" for Sony, who wants it out in 2016. Presumably the summer.

I can't really recall, but was this really that big of a hit back in the 90's? I remember Scream being big, but not this garbage.

The only reason this movie got green lit to begin with was because it was written by the same guy who wrote scream. Te movie itself was a massive peice of shit full of plot holes and shitty acting. My gf and I just watched both of them like two weeks ago and spent the whole time riffing on it lol

Girlfriend and I have been on a horror movie binge lately and just watched Oculus, wasn't too thrilled with it. Neither one of us are huge slasher fans but I liked the very first one well enough, the second one was balls though.

I'll watch this one just so I can compare it to the original.

They filmed that in southport, near me. That's the only reason I watched it. Well that and Jennifer love. I'll watch this one, who cares at this point? Reboots are all we've got.

hills have eyes was pretty fun. i don't remember a rape scene but i'm pretty sure there was some sexual assault.

Hills Have Eyes was fucking magnificent. Gore fest, and just fucked up. You really felt for the victims lol.

I haven't yet, but will eventually watch the original Hills Have Eyes. I really enjoyed the remake. I too do not remember a violent rape scene.
