The idea came up a long time ago during production. We wanted to make it a blood relative of Cloverfield. The idea was developed over time. We wanted to hold back the title for as long as possible.

Seems like a spiritual sequel more than a direct sequel.

But seriously, when does a movie get announced 2 months from fucking release in this day and age? JJ Abrams, you sneaky bastard.

Loved the first one, so I will definitely be seeing this one.

Cannot believe there has been nothing about this and it comes out in March. Much better than most movies having 200 trailers that spoil the entire movie and being announced years before coming out that we currently have.

Pretty much. Only saw it once when it came out; Maybe I should give it a try again though.

I like the premise of the way this film looks, I just hope the majority of the film takes place after the trailer that's shown, and it doesn't take a hour to get to that point.

Same here, mostly. I learned the hard way that my stomach is a pussy by watching Blair Witch Project in the theater, so decided to give this one a pass in theaters. Tried watching it at home; five minutes in, I knew it was not going to work for me, so didn't bother. Was bummed as I did love the concept, but oh well.

Looks like I'll be able to watch this one. Looking forward to it.
