Hmmm. Split here, the first one had the best monster action I've ever seen but by far the dumbest human stuff of any Monsterverse film yet.

They've been going in the right direction since the beginning at least- mostly.
Godzilla 1 had very poor Kaiju stuff and way too much super-serious human stuff that could have been cut from the film. Like, as much as I hated the army stuff, it at least was in service to the plot. The nurse stuff was just a complete waste of time though.
Godzilla 2 had way better Kaiju fights and a lot more screen time for them and less for humans overall- with the human stuff relegated mostly to moving the plot. I think they just got a little too excited when they got the Eleven actress and wanted to give her more to do, and the terrorist group could have been written out completely with very little effort, but I was fine with it, overall.
Kong v Godzilla, everything Kaiju-side was even better. Human-side it was simultaneously better and worse. Better because there was less of it and it seemed to be the Kaiju themselves that moved the plot more than them. (I think I'm remembering correctly. I haven't rewtached it since theaters yet) making the humans mostly obsolete bar a few things. And worse because whilst they gave the humans less to do, they put them in anyway. Bobby Milly Brown sublot was so horrid and completely pointless and I feel they put that in solely to get some of that MCU-Smarm in as was (is) the fashion at the time. The culmination of that subplot completely ruined the end fight, too. Kong and Godzilla teamwork is what brought down the Big Bad? No. it was some spilled fucking drink.
Hmm new evil monkey. Neat.
The first one was the first movie I saw back in theaters. We had rented one out and a bunch of my friends got drunk and watched it. It was such a great experience. Can't wait for this one
I need the human stuff to be at the level of Skull Island or King of the Monsters and the Monster stuff to be at the level of Godzilla vs. Kong.

Human stuff in King of the Monsters was too much. Less please.
Yeah, I’ll just echo what I said a few posts ago. The level of human stuff in GvK was fine, it just needed to impact the story less (not at all) in the climactic battle. So if they do that, fine.
The GvK human stuff was the absolute stupidest human stuff from all the films so far.
The conspiracy shit was pretty bad.
But it's still all better than the nonsense in KotM. No one cares about that family drama.
The army/kong stuff was fine in GvK. The conspiracy theory/Milly Bobby Brown stuff was terrible.
This is now Godzilla X Kong or better known as Gozilla Plus one
Hype AF
Godzilla and Kong charging side by side might have just replaced sex for me.
And Kong has the infinity gauntlet

I guess Brazil is gonna take some damage this time
I dunno, I see the trailer for this one and it's just gotten to be Transformers. It's the first one where after watching it, I don't care if I see it or not. I guess I'm in the minority.
