Japanese Language Proficiancy Test. Its being given all around the US stuff.

is that the one that is lvl 1-4? or the one that is lvl 1-5? there are 2 different test... but only one that really counts.

JLPT has 4 levels of fun, with 4 being the easiest.

i passed J-1 when i lived in japan... 79% it was really really really hard.

The reading was timed to 30-45min with like 3-4 passages.

But in japan most places, if you are a gaijin, only require a j-2 and j-1 is just bonus.

They have another test in japan that is used more by companies, where to J-1 - J-4 system is really used by schools. That test goes 1-5, 1 being the best. Never took that one, but most people say that if you can pass J-1 then you can get a 1 on the other too.

It's been 3+ years since i took it, and i look back at my "1kyuu" books and say, "Did i really know this?".
