    Vahzl ENM

Anyone have any experience with this ENM? Setup / Strategy etc. I searched most of the sites and all they have is basically what the fight consists of but no suggestions on what order to kill the Memory Receptacles and mini bosses, or what job combos work/don't work.

I used to do it every week before a friend of ours ditched us for a JPwwww LS and what a very fun BC it is. We always did it as NIN, WAR, RDM, BRD, SMN and won quite comfortably each and every time. One time, the SMN came as BLM instead and got raped instantly yet we still won with just the four of us. We always did Mea>Dem>Holla but the order doesn't matter as long as you remember you have 30 minutes to do it in and pace yourself. The "best" jobs are anything that can do ranged attacks but you don't want to load up on too many of them or you'll make the bosses harder. You'll need a source of refresh or drinks because the main receptical likes to draw in people who are resting. If you wanted me to give what I thought was an ideal set up it would be NIN/WAR/RNG/BRD/RDM/SMN with all melee subbing NIN.

If you have anymore questions on it just ask.

Yeah, this ENM isn't too bad, the key is a set up. You NEED a summoner to keep earthen ward up as much as possible, otherwise whomever will be raped by aoe. Once you've died and reraised, it's really hard to recover because of draw in.

My set has won as RDM, SMN, WAR, RNG (one person was out for the night and the other forgot his key item ><).

Can never remember the order we kill the orbs in I think we go Holla >> Mea >> Dem, then just have at it with the main orb. Usually it's enter, stoneskin, take orb down to 5% or whatever, restoneskin, kill orb and pop mob, stoneskin during fight if possible, rinse and repeat. Your keys are SMN, a refresher (as russta said, they like to draw you in if you're resting), and ranged damage.

We've done this quite a bit; result has been two toredor's (drop rate is really low, as expected).

It may take some practice to get this in synch, but take your time on it.

Won with 5 really easily, as BLM BLM NIN WHM RNG, you really do not need a SMN, despite what the above poster said.

Simply focus on one recepticle with ranged damage. When it goes down, simply start casting Freezex2 on the boss. Sometimes a BLM will get drawn in, and Freeze will be interrupted. However, its not really a big deal. As long as even one Freeze goes off, the boss will lose the majority of its HP. Simply rinse and repeat until the 3 rotating MRs are down. After they die, the central one is cake.

The only dangers in this fight are the draw in, and the Mea boss. He does a lot of AE damage, and quickly, as usual, so be sure to knock him out ASAP.

Next time we do it I'll screenshout our server record (I hold it, 1 minute and 11 seconds?, with 3 people). It's the easiest ENM ever. Even easier than Pso'xja

That's the only image I have (for now)

I did it a few times, but back before the RNG nerf, and we just took 4 RNG, and basically 1 shotted everyone w/ barrages.

Not helpful at all, but just remembering the good times =(

So when you're fighting one MR, do the other ones attack? How about after you've killed an MR and popped the mini-boss, do the others attack then?

They're always "passive" but if you get close to them they'll do Empty Seed in unison. Just like the MR's you're used to in Promyvions, they never actually attack in any way outside of Empty Seed.

Actually, Vazhl MRs (on the walk up) will attack you in addition to Empty Seed.

Really? I never actually knew that, only ever did the mission once and was on Bard or White Mage.

I was helping out some friends with Promy-V and found that out myself T_T, had never even noticed the time before because i was on a DD job and wasn't the target of them. Kept wondering why my shadows were going down until suddenly i noticed the MR beating on my ass in addition to the strays.

Except the MR in Valzh ENM don't attack you. I did it once, was able to rest under the MR with hate for 10+ seconds until he used their boring MR's AoE, and I never saw them directly attack you.

So probably, one MR poped a mob, and you didn't realized it.

MRs on the walk up != MR's in "Pulling the Plug".
