God damn this is amazing. I owned and hated each one of those games. I played them so much and NEVER beat them. I never even got past the 2nd level in TMNT but I played it for years.

tmnt one is hilarious, especially at the end when he's trying to make those jumps (i totally remember trying to do that shit).

the part at the beginning is funny too with all those little cleaning tricks for the cartridge

Correct that TMNT is the spawn of Satan. I only got into the Technidrome. Could never beat that. As for SATAN, that....would be Battletoads. . . . . . . . . that is the real Satan.

Battletoads may have been difficult but at least it wasn't pointless. Hell, lots of NES games were ridiculously difficult to beat.

I almost pissed myself during the TMNT one when he was trying to jump over that gap and found out he could just walk across.

As been said already, alot of the NES games were ridiculously hard and the reason is that they were so short. So many NES games can be beaten in 5-20 mins if you're good. So instead of making long games they just made then so fucking hard.

Oh, and alot of these speedruns you see nowadays from NES games is done on emulators so it's easy to record a perfect game. You can save and load whenever so you can redo if you make the slightest mistake.
