TV Tuner + Video Games question

There are a few TV Tuner topics already, but I didn't really see this asked anywhere. I'm currently trying to get my Wii to work on my computer monitor through a TV Tuner and it seems to lag slightly basically making anything unplayable. This is my first time using a TV Tuner, so I don't really know too much about them, but is there anything that could fix this or is that how it always will be?

I can list the video card, monitor, etc. if that info is needed, I'm just kinda busy at the moment and don't want to find the boxes.

Try lowering the resolution and turn off any post-processing (smoothing, de-interlacing, etc.).
