    Tier6 Supplies Recovery Info

We keep failing this, and now again today with 2blu mnk war rdm sam (yeah wtf...) Anyway it tied at 3-3 but you still lose, we set up like this: half right below the ledge and 2 went up and started on top of ledge, Imps pop > 1st group killed 2, (I guess theres 3 this room and we missed 1) in turn I think that caused the loss, then they went SW up path to meet with the other 2 fighting towrads 1st group. 1 of us checked the very NW corner for the missed imps but yeah theres none up there...

Anyway this assult being a real bitch and dont wanna fail it again, can anyone give a map with all the imps pops, or how many there are total, or how many groups there and how many each group....any help like that be appreciated. Im guessing theres about 10.

This assault is extremely gay. You probably just got unlucky if you went with 6 and lost, but the item distribution is pure luck.

-If a BLU touch the mobs, they will get credited the item
-5-10 items are generated every time, and you don't seem to have any control over it (unless you need to break horn to get item, never checked)

Generally, best method is to send everyone in the big room on start, and have your lowest DD stay behind. Have him pop the imp then run to the group. There is 3 imp in that room that can be killed before blu get there. After that, run south and go the long way around. Ignore the imp in the first room, since blu will generally get it, and keep going until you reach the 2 imps that are back to back. Keep following that path (none East, so don't turn left when you can). The path will eventually split once again, and there is 2-3 north and 2-3 south. Sometime, blu will already be there, other time, they are all free. At this point, you can either split or take a bet .

Have a PLD or something kite whatever mob the blu's are killing so they are held up doing that. Have the rest of the people run ahead and kill the other stuff ASAP.

That's an interesting idea, but the BLUs don't focus on the same one, do they? When I did it, I noticed they split up. It could still help, perhaps have the kiter also be the one to pop them, since he should be able to get there before the BLUs anyway, then kite back to the start right?

This is what we did and it worked wonders (took us about 4 times to finally get the strategy down and actually win).

Originally, we had our PLD/NIN kite the first imp to slow down the Immortals with me supporting him as RDM. Our mistake was that we spread our remaining 4 (RNG SMN WHM MNK) out in two groups of two in hopes of killing more imps quickly, but they all died.

Reset, try again! Our winning run: PLD and RDM kite imps. It's very important to keep the imps silenced, otherwise they will stop to cast and the BLUs will just wail on them. We did notice that one BLU ran off in another direction from us during one of the imps, but he came back about a minute later. During the entire time, the PLD and I only had to kite 3 imps. The other 4 party members stayed together, gathered up a couple imps at a time, and went all out to kill them ASAP (Astral Flow, Hundred Fists, etc.).

That's a great suggestion. I was going to post what we did, but your idea is even better. Our method was just to focus on the far stuff and leave them to duo things once they got on them. The overall strategy being to get as many "untouched" kills as you can. If you kill things that the NPCs are on, you're just helping them and hurting yourself.

I think it's more than 12%, they move pretty fast.

Was easy when I did it. If you have 6 people send 2 on top of the cliff and 2 to the entrance of the long tunnel. Once mobs pop they work their way towards each other, that's a guaranteed 5 or 6 kills and it's really hard to lose with that.

They do, but they stop to cast spells. If you're lucky, they'll start casting a magical spell (aka long casting time), the Imp will get out of range, etc. It definitely slows them down a lot. In order to be successful though, keep the Imp silenced...if the Imp stops to cast its own spell, the BLU's will have a field day both meleeing AND casting blue magic.

Doing it this way, the BLU's still killed 2 Imps and started whacking on a 3rd, but we kept the distracted long enough for the rest of our party to kill everything else and get the win.

    Re: Tier6 Supplies Recovery Info

I've won it like 5 times and lost it like 9-10times (rarely had more than 3-4 ppl tho). Last time I helped, we had 4 people, and got 3 supply in at least 8-9kills, blu also got 3 in 4kills or something. Having 5-6 people does help, but you can still get boned with the droprate.
