Different Chocobos for H & C and Whistle?

Is it possible to use a different chocobo for the hot and cold game and to be called with my whistle? I currently have a bird with Treasure Hunter and Auto-Regen (she's my first and only bird >_> ). I was debating raising another bird with Burrow and Bore so I can level digging quicker but I really need my TH bird for hot and cold as I play the game in the Jungle and TH is really really useful there.

Yes, you just have to remember which bird is currently registered with the whistle and re-register accordingly.

H&C always uses the whistle bird, hence the need for switching. My H&C bird is standard on the whistle and depending whether I need Burrow I switch to the digger before going on a normal dig. H&C and digger bird both know Bore, so if I don't want Burrow I just use my H&C bird for digging.

Bird 1: Whistle and Hot & Cold
Bird 2: Racing (NPC or Choco Circuit)

I have a bird with TH and Bore (most important to me for H&C) and First Class STR (most important to me for whistle). If you want to follow my plan it actually wasn't hard. I had a bird I raised with mental stats until I could teach it Bore, then retired it. Bred that bird with another until one was born with Bore (took 3 tries). Raised Physical stats until Adulthood so it'd have the big feathers and talons, then switched to Dig for Treasure and spammed Tell a story--diligent as it levelled up Discernment until it learned Treasure Finder (Lvl 3 or so Discernment is when it finally happened), then switched back to Carry Packages, and ultimately retiring it at day 62 with F-C STR and Impressive Endurance.

You could probably modify that plan to whatever stats/attributes you wanted. Or, as an alternative, you could have two birds, your H&C bird and your "level up digging" bird, and just trade the appropriate registration card to the chocobo NPC before you head out to do one or the other (I think it's only like 500g per switch).


Edit: Sorry the above was longwinded but I meant to say, that that way you could have a bird that was decent for both Hot and Cold and digging (although in your case putting an emphasis on endurance instead of strength), unless you absolutely want both Bore and Burrow.
