They seemed to have become common knowledge, but I need to make some confirmations for the BG-Wiki. This thread is for any and all special combat rules that only apply to Pankration(like sleep and side attacks for example).

Blink in Pankration is 4 shadows. Like Zepher Mantle from Puks.
Edit: Instant Blink*, don't know about White Magic Blink.
Insta-Blink is one shadow per ten levels. So when your blink is level 1-10, you get one shadow. 11-20, two. 21-30, three. 31-40, four. 41-50, five.Originally Posted by Ruth
What Thistle said, but a couple days ago, I saw something that made me have to do a double take....an acrolith had 8 shadows from its blink. I went back and counted the shadows several times after the fight, and the opponent didn't have any shadows at all, so only the acrolith had shadows.
Few days ago, some guy bitched at me that his mob was up against something with ten shadows, and that it wasn't a NIN or WHM mob (hadn't recast, only from insta-blink). I told him it was impossible (he had tried to give me a lot of false info in the past, not on purpose so much as just that he hadn't known better). Perhaps there is some trick to get more?Originally Posted by Asdra
I don't know. the acrolith was fighting a mandy, and after 5 shadows, I was like "hah! now we'll see how it goes!", and 3 shadows later I was like "wtf".
No clue how it would be done, and its the only time I've seen more than 5 shadows.
Could be a bug, of course...
Always possible. No way we'll know for sure, until someone does it somehow and posts about it!
Need more love concerning special tactics before I complete my Pankration page ;/.
I can't think of any you probably don't know already. Some mobs can't turn around, attacking from the side is "sneak attack", there are new en-things (sleep, dispel). The tnl is always 200, no matter what level you are.Originally Posted by BRP
