Ace Combat 6: Fires of liberation

Did anyone get this? Guitar hero 3 shipment didn't come in today so I just picked this game up... holy fucking shit, this is like one of the most fun times I've ever had with a game in a long ass time. I got the bundle that comes with the flight stick and I must say it is VERY impressive, it's huge, sturdy and it controls flawlessly. The game is really hard so if anyone ever wants to do some co-op let me know, or if you wanna fire up some battle royale I haven't tried it yet but I'm willing =P

If you are on the fence about buying this I really recommend it, it is a really good game. Even if you don't go pick it up soon because of all the games coming out think of it when winter break comes around and you have more time to play.

It looks great and looks fun with the flightstick, but 149.99 is alot of money. It's like a 2nd wii, something I'll play for a week then never again. Is it really really really worth that price man?

You don't necessarily have to get the flight stick but the $60 price tag for the game itself is worth it if you're in to that kind of stuff at all. Then again, my review of the game might be biased because I'm playing with the flight stick, and it might just suck ass if you're using a 360 controller <_< Regardless, it's worth checking out, even if you just go to your local EB/gamestop and ask them for a spin or rent it/gamefly it. I see what you're saying by a second Wii, but hey, you'll eventually pick up your Wii and play it again, and it's good for a play every now and then, right?

It's just taking up space until a certain title comes out. The ace combat however, would just be taking up space if it wasnt as fun as you are saying lol. I don't think i'd be able to get it without the flight stick, 150 is just a lot.

I have a friend that runs a gamestop, I'm gonna see if I can play it with the flightstick through him. Reading up on it, it looks fun as hell like you said ;p not that i didn't trust you ;p

Awesome :D I don't know if that will do it enough justice that it deserves, but it's better than nothing. I really feel like I'm flying a plane when I play this game, it's so fun lol (even though I suck balls at it)

My store got 4 extra flight sticks and they all sold yesterday. I was going to pick this game up but I got PGR4 instead, lol.

dunno, we just never have interest in the extra bundles on games, people wont ever seem to get into them even when we offer them to every person wanting the games.

we still have 3 legendary halos that we cant get close to getting rid of, and from what i can see from the other stores in the area, they're having the same problem as well.

oh i agree its better, but people would be more likely to buy it if they had other games coming that they know would support it.

We got 4 bundles in, one guy had it fully paid for since like august. two other guys just came in and picked it up and I got mine. Co-op I believe you can only have two players but they need to be on different 360s. Battle royale is 16 man but they're going to release a patch near the end of the year to bump it up to 32 man. Or so they said.

I went and picked this up today. The guy at Gamestop started throwing free shit at me as well; I got a Fire Emblem t-shirt, an Ace Combat faceplate, and a Mass Effect disc with a bunch of themes and shit on it. lol

Anyone played this without the flight stick and still think it's good? I like the series and flying games in general, but I don't think I like them enough to pay 150$ for a controller for one game.

It's technically only 90$ for the stick but... that's still pretty steep.
