what won? There Will Be Blood? Cause that was the favorite.
Atonement![]()
I think its pretty stupid that musical and comedy are in the same category.
Golden Globes are a joke.
Atonement...![]()
All about the Oscars, baby.
I didn't even realize they had announced the Globe winners, I guess thats what calling the show off will do to your publicity.
pushing daisies should have won for best musical/comedy television series.
agreed. those are the same.. how?Originally Posted by Blarg

Creepy fucking bastard.
Oh hell yes... He had a fucking silenced shotgun. Tell me that is not badass.Originally Posted by Artemas
Agreed, he portrayed the character perfectly. I'm betting he's gonna get a nod for the Oscar and take it home. I hope No Country for Old Men wins best pic of the year ;xOriginally Posted by Artemas
The awards going to actor Javier Bardem and the movie Atonement were both well deserved. If you haven't seen either of these movies, you're really missing out.
Atonement was a great movie, but definitely depressing and fucked w/ your mind.
I haven't seen Atonement but I can't imagine it will knock me over like There Will Be Blood did.
Haven't seen There Will Be Blood but I can say that the last 5 or so minutes of Atonement will make you hate life.Originally Posted by Trichocyst
The only problem with Atonement is that the character development is fairly light, while the story itself is fairly deep. And thats a problem because so much of the story rests on believing the relationship of James McAvoy and Keira Knightley is incredibly strong, while only maybe 20 minutes are spent actually showing that relationship develop. I thought James McAvoy gave a really great performance though.
I must highly recommend There Will Be Blood. It's one of the most suspenseful movies I've ever seen and it's just a masterpiece of cynacism. Daniel Day-Lewis is a bag full of crazy and absolutely perfect in his role as a man who's full of hate just descending into wild madness.
I don't normally like to do the "fixed" quotes, but I love the man.Originally Posted by Trichocyst
I heard about Extras before but never bothered to watch it. I love Ricky Gervais in The Office, it's sometimes so awkward to watch him. Guess it won the Golden Globe for best TV series - comedy! Anyways, downloaded Extras today and I've seen 3 episodes so far and I'm loving it.
Description on IMDB. First episode is with Ben Stiller, 2nd is with Ross Kemp and Vinnie Jones. Third one with Kate Winslet and it's so fucking funny. Clip from it."Extras" is about an out-of-work actor (Gervais) who struggles for work when he keeps losing his parts to stars like DeNiro. However, he insists that they're "just lucky".
