    Help!

I've looked through the forums on how to run ffxi with lolVista, and haven't found anything that's helped me out so far.

Been getting a ton of random DC's "POL has stopped working. blah blah" messages. They had stopped for quite awhile, but the past couple days has been hell. I'd usually dc a couple times during Besieged, I assumed I lagged out and got kicked or something.

Now I'm getting random DC's during parties, in the middle of crafting, walking through towns and today really badly right by the OP in Beaucedine. I barely even load to see my character before it crashes now.

I got really upset and uninstalled POL, and got it again from the playonline site. Reinstalled it, turned off UAC for Vista, switched the firewalls and Defender off, still getting the crashes.

The bad thing is I got my PC with Vista on it, and switching the OS back to XP will void the warranty.

Are there any patches somewhere, or some other settings I have to mess with?

    Thanks,
    - Richybear

Did you download and install the Vista POL client?

    Re: Help!

    Yes I did.
I had it from before, but it started booting me like crazy recently.
So I uninstalled, and went to the POL site to get the install for Vista (59.9 MB file one) and installed it again. Went through all of the updates and everything, and now it's crashing faster. >.<
I even tried right clicking and "Run as administrator" and that made things worse.

    Re: Help!

I'll list what I can, and if you need more, I can look those up too.

    HP m8109n
    OS: Vista Home Premium
    Processor: AMD Athlon 64 x2 2.60 Ghz
    3 GB of RAM
    NVidia GEForce 6150SE video card

That's all I can think of for now off the top of my head if that helps. >.<

edit: Figured MAYBE it was because of the D-Link, but I tried going straight up through the modem and I still get the kicks, so it's not a connection issue.
