Midnight Release of Breaking Dawn (Twilight)

Im going to a release party for Breaking Dawn (4th book in the Twilight Series) tonight. Costume contest, fortune teller, the whole nine.

Im going dressed as Edward because I can pull it off.

Anyone else picking up the book tonight?

Don't see the big interest in this book/series.

I work at Borders and they're doing a midnight release and all the teenage chicks and soccer moms are all "omgash" and shit over it.

Glad I don't have to work tonight.

The last two have been kind of meh for me, so I'm only reading to find out the end to their stories. Personally, she made the everybody out to be too angsty X:

I'm going to pick mine up tomorrow. My town is so backwater the mall isn't allowed to have people in it after midnight.

I admit to not like the 2nd and third as much as the first, as well, and thoroughly understand this was not written for my age group whatsoever, but I still couldn't help but love the series in general... and have gotten like 5 other women my age completely addicted as well.

In a way, I was impressed by how perfectly like a teen the author was able to write the characters.. someone said 'too angsty,' but I completely remember as a teen when the smallest stupidest things were like the major reason for living from day to day half the time... when you'd freak out and break down crying over the craziest stuff, or think you were in love with someone you just had a crush on, etc.

Just curious to see how she figures the stories should end. Kinda hope Jake imprints on someone and can be happy - he and Bella always felt way too forced for me anyway, was more a device just to make more conflict, etc. Blah blah blah... I tried re-reading the series this week and could really only get through the first again. Kept getting annoyed at New Moon. ._.

Yeah, I finished it already - bought it at um... 6 this morning, started reading while camping Nid around 7, and finished it just now at 3 pm. Yeah, I liked it. Slightly predictable in parts, others were a nice way to go about it that I wouldn't have foreseen entirely.

All in all - well, I'll just wait for everyone else to finish.
