Probably..since there's ALWAYS a few months delay between a VU announcements after "the" VU (big or small so can't really say after a big update.)

There won't be a FFXI-2 as far as everything is known. Rapture is not directly related to FFXI and this is basically a "Gaming" thread before a "FFXI" thread. Assuming it isn't just a bunch of bullshit.

Yay Valentione's Day! It'll probably start at the beginning of February. Make in game chocolate for male friends -> wait for goodies for "White Day" in March ^^b

On topic.... what a wacky article. It makes me think that some new wannabe reporter went to 2chan and found some random rumor. I like the whole Wii part. As if you couldn't believe it as is, they throw in the Wii. It's only on a livedoor site though but even if this rumor was printed by Famitsu or another reputable gaming site, it'd be hard to believe.

Rapture has some of the same modeling/styles as FFXI does(from a few pics i've seen), but it's prolly not directly related to ffxi, but just SE's art style.

I see them making a new story with it, the most similarity between them will prolly be gameplay(maybe) and the art style. When it comes down to it tho they are taking forever to make and until a few months before the beta, they prolly won't give us any hints.

As far as events, I don't even do them anymore, they haven't made any fun seasonal events in a long while. Talking to moogles is boring as shit...

The events are kind of repetitive. I like getting new mh stuffs if they put any out, some of the lowbie gear is cute, but otherwise it's the same thing over again. :/

Agreed, seems the new dev team understands this, what with the new items in the latest couple events.

Some items are pretty badass looking. I really liked that aldabarans horn from the buffalo thing.

Interested to see what they do with the valentines thing. Imo it seemed that the valentines was least popular due to the complexity and confusing way it worked.

They have denied it every single time they have been asked that question. It is not FFXI-2.

Yeah, Rapture is something else, I dunno if I'll play it or stick to FFXI, it's kind of lame to throw out all my hard work for a new MMO but I'm also a SE-obsesser >.>

I have a feeling that after 2 relatively new events they're not going to bother with another new one, seeing as they are working on mini expansions and whatnot.
