Gallery Images

I must be a shmuck because I cannot figure out how to get the gallery images to work. The images need to be uploaded and they automatically link to the file name, or what? Maybe I'm naming them wrong, idk. For example, I was working on:

But the uploading maps in gallery images is hanging me up.

Where "Wiki.png" is the filename. Hope this helps~

All right I see what was wrong, the file was named JPG instead of lower case. Thanks for fixing it.

Yeah, the file extensions are case-sensitive, which I really hate.

speaking of file extension wierdness, is there any reason some items require .jpg as the picture and others .png (And refuse to allow the other for any reason?)

Probably because of the templates. For items png files are the proper format. For key items, quests, and missions jpeg files are accepted standard.

As to why this is, I really couldn't tell you, but no reason to mess with what works.

I am slowly trying to upload all of the maps for all zones. So far so good. Something I've noticed though between FFXI atlas (which is usually the source for any guides using location) and the maps as they are ordered in ffxi data. Atlas has changed some things on its site to make things easier to see, sometimes they combine 2 or more maps together, or make a lower map 1st because it isn't the standard entrance. So if you make reference to where to go in a guide or something just be wary of saying "on the first map" etc. and that they could differ, so check to see.

One new question to ask. In cases where a new image needs to be uploaded (for example, maps were recently changed to have new labels for wotg, wind waters/davoi etc.) I've tried before to use the "upload a new version of this file" option and it seems like sometimes it doesn't work. AmIdoinitrite or what?

Generally you have to hard-refresh the page after you upload a new image. At least that happens for me when uploading icon changes.

All the maps for zones are uploaded now. But they are the plain maps taken right from the game, so if anyone wants to upload one with more info (like assaults for example) go for it.

Nice work.

What kills me is that the "Cavern of Flames" maps are approximately 1000x better than Ifrit's Cauldren's maps.
