Battlefield 2 questions

My brother had an uninstalled copy sitting at his apartment for years now.. so I jacked him and decided to install it today. I've only played battlefield on PS3 ( I know lol) Is there a good site I can look at for tactics, updates etc ? Oh and speaking of updates I just downloaded the 1.5 patch. Is it safe to install from 1.0 > 1.5 ?

There should be an auto updater for BF2. If not, install patches in sequence that way you can be sure to not fuck up your install.

Learn how to dolphin dive, and prepare to get raped playing BF2. Nothing Like BF:MC or BF:BC.

Also take a look at Planet Battlefield - Maps, News, Battlefield 2, Videos, Downloads. Generally the planet sites are great.

BF2 update should state if it was an incremental or a complete.

Latest update should be fucking massive though since EA decided to give away those two little DLC map packs for free that next to no one bought. The Special Forces expansion still needs to be bought seperately though.

How's the online community for BF2 doing these days anyhow? I never really got into playing it online thanks to my ISP being fubar'd back in the day. Tempted to give it a whirl for a bit if there are still 64-man servers kicking about.

Yeah, under the influence of a close friend of mine, I re-installed BF2 and was promptly ass-raped into oblivion. Nothing has changed in that game at all, amazing pilots dominate the servers and if you're not an amazing pilot, just gtfo. Totally not fun anymore.

Lol. I personally say play spec ops/assault untill you learn the workings. LMG class is great too. Oh, and play Infantry Only to avoid bombs/tanks/arty.
