    RNC/DNC/Rally for the Republic thread

Post what you think were the highlights from each, so that anyone who is interested or undecided can quickly see what supporters of candidates or policies thought was an exemplary speech.

I'll start, Rally for the Republic highlights:

    Tucker Carlson (Really great introduction):

Bruce Fein (Was pretty impressed by his public speaking ability and total knowledge of America, I think everyone here will enjoy this speech, it has nothing to do with social issues really):

Bill Kaufman (Comedic relief, decent speech):

Can anyone fill in the DNC and lolRNC?

"Bush was going to create "An ownership society". Some commentators were stupid enough to believe he would privatize things, and give control back to the people. To those that bought this lie, I have one thing to say, "You got owned." "

I watched Palin's speech at the RNC last night and I have to say it was scary how people were eating it up with such bullshit as:

"The democratic nominee who has no interest in producing energy"
"The democratic nominee who won't use the word 'victory' in his commenting on the war in Iraq"
"The democratic nominee who has only published 2 memoirs"

what the fuck, seriously. Like, I don't see how anyone can even listen to that and think "well those are great points!" and cheer and be on the verge of cheering and tears like the idiots at the RNC were. Also, it pissed me off when they'd flash to Gulliani after she said these kinds of things and he'd be smiling and clapping. I had alot of respect for him, and it was probably edited in, but still it was quite saddening.

I want political speeches to not be in front of a crowd, because the pauses, and setup for applause is retarded. Inform the people, don't entertain them.

I believe those are what debates are for. Not that debates aren't a sham anyway, but at least it's not completely scripted.

Yeah I didn't post Paul because he talked more about his campaign than his ideas and stuff, and I skipped Ventura because he was a retard.
