Has anyone figured out the Pdif range for a two handed weapon when your attack is equal to a mob's defense?
Has anyone figured out the Pdif range for a two handed weapon when your attack is equal to a mob's defense?
Last time we agreed that new pDIF = old pDIF * 1.00~1.05
What? When cRatio is capped, two handed weapons have a Pdif of 1.9-2.7, so I don't see how x1.05 works for that.
I just decided to go test FunguarFamiliar with 4/5 Beast Affinity. It's hitting Wild Rabbits for 364-382 damage, which surprises me; I expected 356-373.
STR for a L73 FunguarFamiliar should be 32+41=73 (C racial STR, A job STR), giving capped fSTR of 73/9+8=16, so total D should be 73+16=89.
89*4.0 = 356
91*4.0 = 364
89*4.1 = 364
So it seems either my math is wrong somewhere, or my Funguar is level 75 even without capped Beast Affinity merits, or the pDIF cap is now 4.1 instead of 4.0 for jug pets.
Wish I had tested 3/3 BA Funguar on L0 mobs before 2h changes...
In any case, this fits with the old pDIF*1.0-1.05 theory.
Hmm...pulled out a CourierCarrie with Monster Gloves, which should be 74-75. It also hits for 364-382, but should be 356-373 (74) or 360-378 (75) since Carrie's fSTR is 15. In 2006 testing I had Carries that hit for 352 (73) and 356 (74).
Edit: another Gloves Carrie hits for 356-373, so I guess my math was wrong for the 75 case; my guess is that Wild Rabbits actually have 5 VIT, so when Carrie bumps up to 65 STR at level 75 it adds another point of fSTR.
If that's the case, then my L73 Funguar fSTR would be (73-5+4)/4=18, which would give the observed damage numbers if fSTR isn't capped at 16.
It occurs to me that the 1.0-1.05 business means we can't use mode damage to find mob VIT anymore. Thanks, SE. ><
