Clamming

Wasn't sure exactly where to ask this. I have been out in bibiki - purgonorgo clamming, and I noticed that the NPC was letting me upgrade my bucket long before i should have been able to (43 pz for the first one, 87 iirc for the second). Does anyone know if any actual changes were made to the clamming system? Or is this just some glitch that got broken in a recent update?

Edit definitely something glitchy with the weight of the items, my bucket just broke at exactly 100 pz.

Check wiki out, these were there for 2 years now I think.

If you hit 100 exactly it'll break, but if you get 99 you can upgrade once more. I believe anything after 200 is wasted so make sure to turn it in by then.

Yeah that does seem wrong. It may be possible they changed a couple weights of items... hmmm I'll go take a look later, have the HQ swimsuit and can warp to the island instantly, <3 that thing.

I can definitly say on new/full moon you get better results. Normally first couple buckets you pretty much only pull up slugs and other fish. On full/new moon I almost always get a nice item like shell or rock, coral fragment, etc, on first bucket.

Adding in swimsuit to equation I managed to upll up 3 coral fragments in a row. was like 98-99% new moon. Made a nice quick buck. Normally this past time isnt worth the long ass boat rides, but if you have the enw HQ swimsuit, just take warp scroll and warp there, get couple stacks of coral fragments, viola!

yeah that was totally not what i asked urat, bravo.

I thought i'd hit 100 exactly before, and it didn't break, but i don't remember.

I was using wiki, and i kept double checking my math. One bucket i was at like 83 and she let me upgrade to the 150 bucket, on the next bucket, i know i was at 48, and i asked the npc and she said 49. so i tried asking her after every single thing i dug up after that, and i never got any more glitches, just can't figure it out.
