    First time in Dynamis Valkurm

    My ls is doing our first attempt at Dyna-Valkurm next week, and I'm wondering if anyone has any pointers on what jobs, meds and strategies to use other then the one posted on DynamisBums. And how much time do you get before you kill the boss. I know that killing the mega boss grants 60 minutes time extension other then that, I'm not sure what time frame we're working on to kill the Nightmare Flies and the other NM's.

    So any help would be greatly appreciated. ^^;

    60 minutes before boss, 60 min extension for killing it

    You definitely need 3 people ahead of time to pull the flies, and they need to be the first 3 to enter so they can go find. Mages should have poison pots if you're going for sheep, and schs/smns/blus (stoneskinga) are handy for the flies/sabotenders if you're going for those.

    For boss, 2 CS stunners and some brds for SV rotation. Make sure BRDs/WHMs sleep the babies when they pop, and check the map for where the repops nearby are. Make sure no one is standing in those spots so they don't pop midfight and wipe your mages.

    Also, piggyback: Never done treant before. What does it actually do when you fight it (like goobbue has charmga, fairy ring has ridiculous speed and attacks, what does treant have?) and what does it supposedly do to boss?

    Drex more or less summed it up, mages don't need poison pots for sheep if they're SCH or /SCH, the -HP ticks from sublimation keep you awake. Wouldn't hurt melees to bring poison pots too though.
    When you first zone in make it clear to everyone that not only SJ fly seekers go first but also when you've entered everyone else stays behind the OP, there's sabotenders immediately to the front and I can count several times some n00b has entered and ran right out the front and aggroed a bunch while the flies were being pulled. Also make sure the fly pullers have movement speed +% gear (or at least are RDM with gravy/bind) and are aware that the flies link to Nightmare mobs of other species.

    The strategy we usually follow is kill flies > run to Konschtat zoneline and kill Nan'tina goobbue (kill some Quadav stones otw there but otherwise try avoid aggro) > run back to the beach and kill Fairy ring (sac pull the yagudo stones off the front of it unless you have oodles of time to kill them) > kill boss. If you have 25ish peeps you should get to boss with 10mins ish left even with some aggro etc. Boss fight is generally over in under 30s, zerg the hell out if it preferably with a full 3-bard rotation on your main melee alliance.

    SCH won't have stoneskin for the flies as it's killing them that'll get your subjobs back. Accession+celerity cures are good though.

    skip fairy ring, the only way to lose to CC is if your CS stunners fuck up anyway. flys>gobbue>boss less time dicking with fairy ring more time to farming.

    only if suggested if you trust your stunners! usually 2:1 for stuns 1:1 if you got a Corsair. warlocks roll makes CS stun broken, in terms of having to worry about resisted stuns.

    out of all the dyna req. CSstuns, valk is the worst just because he can open with a breath. if your pld's/CSstunner's timming is in sync.. its pretty quick easy fight

    In our last Dynamis Valkrum it seemed like there was never more than one Fly up at a time. Meaning, you had to kill one to pop the second, and so on. Someone who has a little more experience might be able to confirm or deny this though.

    DEEEeEnied, they have a decent size pathing area. Each fly will roam around the whole area of specific mob group. i.e. fly near sheeps will roam all around the top area, the 1 near manticor will roam from the far east to the far west end of the manticor area toward selbina., etc

    Just hope the mega boss doesn't Charmga at start, otherwise you're screwed.
