I'm in the process of looking over some blogging tools (hoping to maybe migrate my site over to a more professional looking one w/o all the ads and shit). Any opinions as to which to use?

if you have your own host, then use wordpress hands down. Easy and fast to install too.

Wordpress is widely used with 10000s of templates. Unless you want to build your own, I think Wordpress should be the way to go. Some nicer templates will cost you though.
Mambo Server (Mamboserver.com - Home) looks professional but is a bit more complex to use, and depends on you finding a template. Not as friendly in my opinion, I gave up using it.
