Recent Wii Scene

Has anyone been keeping up with the wii scene?

I stopped paying attention a long time ago, around the time that the TP hack started floating around, and now there are all these homebrew channels and shit and I'm lost

I figured since I'm always helping people with their PSP's and DS's, someone could be nice and return the favor and help me with my wii?

I just want to know what all these new things are, what they do, which are essential, etc.

You could get the Homebrew Browser which lets you download from right into an SD Card.
It has the latest emulators,apps and little homebrew games.
