Those are the positives. On the downside, there's a significant chance he's just joining your shell to spy on you for his dipshit friends.

Is this Aidyn from TheUnity? Or is there another player with the name? If it's Aidyn from TheUnity he's a pretty good guy. Never really caused any problems and played his jobs well. He's definitely worth a look if it's the same guy. Legynd I've never heard of and Silverflame I've seen around but I couldn't tell you one way or the other what type of player he is. As far as I can remember he doesn't have any drama attached to him or anything.

Silver/Legynd are decent ppl from my experiences, both are out for a lot of fun and are enjoyable to be around. I only did a COP BC for Aedyn so I wouldn't say much on her, she seems nice, very quiet. I think she has since got to Sea, but I'm unsure. Oh, lastly an obligatory; Weeks carries long term grudges etc, etc. Honestly, it's no surprise he left their LS after you guys started making fun of his Job (in real life). I mean you can throw the I'm from Dreamers card again or the he showed me screenshots of stupid things you said Weeks, but making fun of someones job?

edit: for the record, we only got to see one or two pics, and only after you guys mocked him repeatedly.
edit: plus, screwing with people after they've mocked your lively hood, i wouldn't consider that anything other than karma. He didn't do anything wrong aside from try to be decent and you proved you're just as big an asshole as your live journal shows. Being quite the asshole myself, I'd say I'm impressed but I also don't like to give compliments.

Ignoring for a second his lame justification for what he did, since I was on break at the time of his vicious cyber-bullying, Silverflame was such a lousy player that the prospect that he was intentionally trying to sabotage us almost improved my opinion of him.

There used to be a Legynd on Fenrir who hopped servers with some LS goodies, don't know if it's the same guy or not of course.

For silverflame, if you want someone who is going to be in your linkshell until they quit then don't take this guy. If you don't mind a shell hopper with an over-inflated ego with hardly anything to back it up than take this guy. Seriously, he use to be one of my good friends but all he does it complain about things he deserves when he's put in little to no work.

In all honesty I hope you guys take him so Caitsith can be rid of more trash

I figured it would have been said by now, but iirc this [BC] post is 2 weeks late or so and Silver/Legynd/Aedyn are already in another linkshell. Pirian would know about over-inflated egos though, back (long time ago) in Phoenix he refused to fight Jormungand (serious business, i know) because he didn't think we were worthy (of course we probably weren't but that's just because we sucked, lol, seriously could have tried to help your LS though). What always seems pretty hilarious with anyone from PM (sans Isla) you all always post with jaded sense of self-righteousness. I don't see what his job, his hobbies, nor grooming habits have to do with how he plays the game. I mean...at least he likes Bon Jovi and not Gnarls Barkley.

In Addition: I don't know why, but today I'm parenthesis happy.

Edit: I don't know if Legynd is the one that Korre mentioned, but I think he's been on Cait Sith for awhile. If you know the date when he hopped could probably look it up on FFXIAH and determine if it's the same guy.

Actually I had left the linkshell 2-3 weeks earlier, and I did end up helping because I loaned Zhaden(I think? Maybe it was Fiviji, I don't remeber) a good portion of my lolice resist set, and I did a very fair amount of outside healing which led to me tanking/dieing a few times because hate was so loose. What you remember and what actually happened - selective memory is a great attribute. I really had no intention of staying with the linkshell long term and had no plans of obtaining anything from them (which I didn't, unless you count the two pieces of homam which was actually from Judd's separate limbus linkshell). I had basically just joined to help out a friend for a while. Hard concept to fathom for you, I realize this.

I'm sorry for the off topic post, but I will not allow Octavious to sully my good name. Oh, and for the record, I posted nothing concerning Silverflame's RL.

edit: Oh, and it was a pretty amusing Jorm kill. Iirc by the time you guys killed it, 3 or 4 hours after you started, there were 0 tanks alive (or unweakened at least) and you were holding it purely with avatars. And so there's no mistake here, this was way past the servers prime wyrm faze and they had already been figured out for the most part.

Regardless of Wyrm's being figured out by that time, the LS was a group of people relatively new to the environment. While it can't be argued that they didn't do things as efficiently as others, they eventually won. Regardless of you joining to help out a friend, you acted like an asshole and you're trying to justify it by claiming the LS was scrubs. If you must know I joined because of Judd, whom I've known from SOCOM years prior to FFXI.

^proves my point about your overblown ego. The Linkshell was a bunch a scrubs but we did a decent amount for the people and their skills. It doesn't justify the smug attitude you're portraying. In Phoenix we never did Limbus/Wyrms/Gods as quick as when your in a LS with people who take the game more seriously, but we still did it. All in all it's a loaded statement since i'm calling some of them scrubs, but I'm already an asshole so I suppose it's nothing out of character.

I made the self-righteous remark more towards Weeks, than you, so I owe you clarification on that. Basically, insulting what people do outside this game to get by seems like the lowest form of insult. Weeks can rip and pry at anything people do in-game (regarding skill,e-whoring,etc i don't care) but I see the job dig as smug and irrelevant. Anyone could be working any job to get by, deeming one to be subservient to yours is pretty egotistical.

@ Brill; Vicious Cyber-Bullying = Malicious Raise 1? I know you know what I'm talking about. If you don't ill explain it later, you owe me some COD:WoW.

Also, to add something to this thread I wanted to clarify that Aedyn is Legynd's Wife iirc, or somehow tied to him. I'm pretty sure it's not the Aidyn from TU, assuming the names were different. I actually don't know if Aedyn is from CaitSith or not. I don't remember seeing her aside from the one time I tanked Diabolos for Legynd & Aedyn. I don't remember seeing either on CaitSith until this past fall, so it's likely they came from another Server. Especially if they switched again, it would mean they arrived on CaitSith sometime in September/Early October at the latest since that would be the 3 month mark from sometime in December. Nothing really stood out about Legynd or Aedyn so again I don't really have much to say, pretty under the radar at least from my experience.

Reding r hard. And to clarify myself it's not like I didn't give you guys your strats for wyrms. Yes, I really did. I even made horrible alliance placement maps in paint! During my time in the linkshell all I did was try and bring the level of play of the linkshell up. Ffs, the melee couldn't even figure out how to get their weapon skills off during Kirin's casting and made the fight x2 longer than it should have been. It annoyed me to no end that the leaders had the attitude "If it ain't broke then don't fix it."

Say what you like about me, but for anyone else reading this take this into consideration. Octavious is the kind of person who in order to try and gain/keep priority in his old dynamis linkshell he would take advantage of a rule, which stated "if you dropped a piece of relic and took a screen-shot of it then you could get your points back", by forging screen-shots of dropped relic. Not only did he do this but when he left the linkshell to join his current HNMLS, which does all aspects of end-game, he decided he would rub salt in that wound by posting exactly what he did and admitting to it. That broke the trust of a pretty tight-nit group that is about the oldest dynamis-only group on the server, and the leaders quickly revoked that rule upon Octavious' withdrawal from the linkshell.

Once again though, I'm sorry to bring the topic off Silverflame. In order to keep it on topic I guess I'll add a couple more insights about him; a little more positive this time in the hopes that you'll take him from Caitsith. If he thinks you'll finish his Black Belt relatively quickly he'll most likely stick with you until that's done. If nothing else, he was given a pretty nifty program which makes playing WHM very very easy. Tells you which debuffs are on which players and automatically brings up an option to take care of it. Therefore his reaction time will seem pretty good, and while it is a more pseudo-skill he does do pretty well with it. Oh, and he's pretty bad at dual boxing (I know I said I would keep this one positive but just something I remembered).

Back on topic. My experiences with Silverflame are limited. I remember him from my first HNMLS. He had a second character that was a 75 white mage if I recall correctly. When he applied he stated that he would use the character as needed for the linkshell. When he asked to do so he would pitch a fit and not do it. But this was also literally like five or six years ago. So it's very possible that he's changed since that time.

I'm about the only person here (outside Brill) that doesn't have a bias on this guy -and I guess I'm the only one that hasn't been involved in drama either- so I can give a pretty solid opinion on him. I've known Silverflame for well over 3years, and he's a pretty decent guy, but unfortunately lacks determination and overall skill. He's not TERRIBLE, but he's not something to write home about.

Just going off what I'd heard, quite a few people said he'd bailed with some LS-owned stuff, think a KC and something else.
