Question About a .dll / Malware

    Hi,

Every time I open up firefox, my spyware terminator blocks a .dll called "MSQPDXKDAPGIPX.dll". I'm curious, is this a malicious .dll or am I being paranoid? I did a google search on it and came up with absolutely nothing. Thank you for any help you can offer!

Sounds pretty malicious to me. Boot into safe mode and run your virus scanner and spybot S&D or Ad-Aware should find whatever it is.

I read up on what the trojan does / would do and it potentially blocks anti-virus and anti-spyware sites on top of being a pain in the ass, so I'm guessing this is one of the symptoms? lol if you could direct me to another download link for that I would appreciate it =( thank you guys for your help

Try looking for the files manually on your PC, dont rely on the automated thing.

What about all the other files listed on that website, are they all present as well?
Can try booting in safe mode and deleting them. If after deleting the file it comes back, delete it, and create a text document and rename it to the same as the file youre trying to delete. I cant find anything on it specificly, so I cant give you any specific removal means.

Well, I previously removed iamfamous.dll and dll.dll which was the only malicious .dll I had found, this was popping up before, but spyware terminator is blocking it, so is it doing nothing? Or could it be this is just blocking some random sites? Also, how do you boot in safe mode? I'm really a computer noob >_>... lol.

During boot up keep pressing F8 till the screen changed, if it gets to the Windows logo, you didnt do it right. Be very careful in safe mode, as you can delete anything you want, and wont be prompted for saftey purposes.

If your software is blocking it from running, then it shouldnt be doing any damage, but getting rid of it's always better.

You really need to get access to another computer and download software there.

    Download ComboFix and MalwareBytes:
    http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
    and
    Malwarebytes.org

And be good to go. I guess if you desperately need the files off that PC I could upload them somewhere that isn't redirected to null by trojans.
