    Crysis or Fallout3?

I have a pretty BEAST computer and I really want to push it and get the most out of it.

I've never played either game, or the prequels to fallout. I used to be pretty big into FPS being competitive with SOF, UT, and COD's.

Fallout is more of an rpg right? Whereas maybe Crysis is more of a FPS kill people and get high score? lol.

Which one is better to push my pc with, more replay value, something to do inbetween WoW raids? Right now I can Download Crysis for 30$ through EA, is there a way to do that with Fallout or do I have to go buy a hard copy? I'm assuming Fallout is a little more expensive.

Which game is more likely to have more added to it, maps quests whatever. I know Crysis is getting a little dated, should that hinder me from picking it up cause the graphics are still amazing. Is it less likely to have new content? Is Crysis Warhead a better buy?

    Thanks for the imput.

Crysis is more your classic FPS, and Fallout is your RPG. As far as getting more for your buck, replay value wise, I would think Fallout would keep you sucked in longer, and 3 expansions are in the future (1 or 2 already out, cant remember, and the other next month)

But if you're looking for something to push the limits of your PC graphics-wise, I would assume Crysis would do this, but I'm not positive about that

Just finished Crysis demo, great graphics on max settings (at least what the demo provides) but I don't know if I'd like that type of gameplay online.

Fallout3 Is getting more appealing, but I'd need a demo.

I was totally addicted to fallout 3 for about a 1-2 months. It is pretty good. Take it slow leveling or else you'll start to feel over powered. Get the Lincoln Repeater as soon as possible in game. Play it on hard or Very Hard.

I have Crysis and Fallout 3 and you'll play Fallout a lot more that Crysis.

thats kinda what I want to use these games for, but I also want to get my moneys worth lol.

It's one thing to benchmark, it's another to run a game like crysis in full settings and actually play it.

TY for the replies, the demo of cysis at the end was kinda a turn off for me. Idk if I could really like the playstyle either especially with how many bullets some enemies take to kill.

Get Crysis Warhead since it comes with a better multiplayer(Crysis War) plus it's only 30$ off of steam or buy it physically and I beat warhead's campaign in under 10 hours though but it was awesome. Multiplayer of both versions can get crazy if you know what you're doing.

    edit: Gauss Rifle ftw

I loved Fallout 3. It's a memorable game and I spent many, many hours just messing around, exploring, and playing through the game in different ways. There is just so much to do heh.

Crysis was just another shooter to me. It will push your system though. If that's what you want a new game for, than Crysis may be the way to go.

I'd rather get a better game though. My recommendation is Fallout 3.

If it's just another shooter, then I rather stick to the ones I'm competitive and have teams with. pushing the system is fun but I haven't even overclocked anything yet, I'll do that within the month and prob just pickup fallou3.

Ty for the replies, any xpacs or anything extra I need to buy other than the game itself? I can download it direct2drive.

There is some DLC for Fallout 3 and more to come. Also, there are mods for the game like Oblivion and other Elder Scrolls games had.

Having both I played through Crysis once I have played through Fallout 3, 3 times and starting a 4 on Very hard.

There are 3 DLC packs for Fallout 2 are out one more to come that will raise the lvl cap to 30. Each is $10. You don't have to get them and in fact I wouldn't until you go through the game at least once.

If your computer can put Crysis on max it is extremely fun to play (and the expansion too). It is just fun to walk around and explore the island/etc.

It kept my attention much longer than Fallout 3 did.

Fallout 3 is boring once you level up and begin to VATs your way through the entire game. After getting fed-up of reloading my quick-saves on locks/convos/etc, I just killed everyone. Didn't matter in the end.
