Been trying to get that greatsword to drop from him but have been 0/5 so far. Anyone gotten the sword from him can tell me how many times they had to kill it before they got it? ; ;

Think I went 1/6 or 7 on it overall. Mainly camped it for something to do. If you plan on being there a few pops you can always level up your NPC to help pass the time and farm seals.

I remember doing this for a DRK I staticed with way back when were leveling our first jobs in '03, I'm fairly sure he was 1/16. I was extremely glad when that was over >.>

i filled my bag with it, and then go *!@^*&#@^ YESSSSSSSSSssssssss when it pop

and then .................. when it dont drop

its an aquarius, RDM CS nuke can do it anyway so its a matter of time you will get it

i solo it on my PLD faster than on my DRG or RDM. atonement cuts through his jesus defense like a chainsaw through butter. speaking of which i think cancer has an innate damage taken-50% because even shieldbash does 11 damage.

I eventually just gave up on it and moved on.

Cancer is way easier than Aquarius, it doesn't attack as fast. The drop rate can suck my man nipples though.

My advice? You don't need this sword, sure it's great if you have it, but by the time you get it you can probably get DRK up way past the sword's usefulness.

Although the added effect on the sword does very generous damage, I've seen it proc for 50+ damage.

I was thinking for camping Ascalon too but the drop% sucks also and a long as repop. It's a rare sword with cool stats, i wonder if i could solo it with my drg or pld.

I don't think you can, the NM uses Dimensional Death and also hits insanely hard, and casts lots of Tier3 -ga magic/Ancient Magic. Also, it links with the other NM if they're together. You can seperate them but that requires a bit of work.
