Shipping long guns have to go UPS ground and sent to an 01 FFL. You need a signed copy of that FFL(the buyer would procure this), before you send, also would be a good idea to contact that ffl holder about sending it just in case he may not accept from non ffl holders. You cannot send to a private person, only a holder of an 01 ffl. Handguns must go overnight shipping to an 01. C&R are different and can go to a holder of a C&R. Not difficult to get arranged but a little harder than selling normal things. Buyer would also need to pay for transfer and do a 4473, but should know this prior to purchase.

It's fine to use a FFL. Not all states require you to use them though as far as I know. Just be sure of your laws and what not. Its a good gun though, good for a kids first gun or home protection.
