*Updated February 27th*
We're looking for a few more exceptional players to add to our roster. IF you've always wanted to join us and tag along for our alternate/social friend ICC runs we do those as well if you think you're not suited to be a full-time raider. As always, anybody is welcome to join us if you do not get accepted as a raider, you will still be eligible to come to our alternate runs.
What We Need:
1 Warrior (DPS)
1 Mage
1 Druid (Moonkin)
1 Priest (Holy or Discipline)
About Us:
Blue Garter of Mal'Ganis(US-PVP) is looking for a few dedicated individuals for our casual friendly raiding environment. Blue Garter has a long history across multiple games, most of which can be reviewed at the following link: http://www.theorderls.com/?page_id=2
Raid Times:
Blue Garter is a very casual guild as we are all adults with school, work, or other priorities outside of the game. To accomodate for that we have only two required raid days per week, members are not required to maintain 100% attendance but we will have strict attendance guidelines on an individual basis.
Thursday: 7:00PM to 11:00PM CST
Sunday: 7:00PM to 11:00PM CST
Raid time may be extended until Midnight some days for progression.
Application Expectations:
Blue Garter has a raiding philosophy that contains elements of both "hardcore" and "causal" gameplay. We are "casual" in that we typically raid 2 days a week only, although this can increase to 3 days if we are working on hardmode progression content. Raids are normally Thursday and Sunday at 7pm-11pm CST with the contingent third raid on Wednesdays at 7pm-11pm CST. We anticipate a 3 day raid week during progression through hardmode content in Icecrown Citadel. While raids occassionally go past their nominal raid time, you will not be punished for having to leave on time and that decision is made by the raid as a whole.
The primary goal of the guild is to play and enjoy the game without sacrificing other aspects of our lives. This means that during actual raids we exhibit a more "hardcore" tone. You are expected to be alert and present throughout the raid time and to communicate with officers if you need a substantial AFK so that you can be replaced in a timely fashion without disrupting raids. You are expected to come prepared with potions , flasks, and any other tools you might need for a four hour raid. You will be flasked for every raid boss encounter. You are also expected to care about your raid performance. You are expected to remain knowledgable about your class and primary role since this is a dynamic game and what works well today may not work so well tomorrow.
Loot:
Everyone cares about loot, and you should care about loot insofar as it helps you fill your primary role and improve your performance. After several unsatisfying attempts at a DKP system we have reverted to a "loot council" method for distributing items. In order to obtain an item you must simply show and interest and link your current item. Loot is distributed based on consideration of the level of upgrade, attendance/relability, and the amount of loot you have already recieved. In most scenarios there is not a clear person who deserves an item and it will be randomed among some or all of the people who displayed an interest in the item. If you are talented and reliable, you will be considered for loot as soon as your trial period ends.
