Need help differentiating between 2 monitors...

I'm looking to buy a new monitor mainly for my PC. I'd like for it to be HD ready just in case I end up buying a PS3 sometime in the near future and I've narrowed my options down to 2 choices.

#1 Newegg.com - SAMSUNG ToC T220HD Rose Black 22" 5ms HDMI Widescreen HDTV Monitor 300 cd/m2 DC 10000:1 Built in DTV Tuner & Dolby Digital Surround Speakers - LCD Monitors

From what I understand, the only things #2 is missing are TV tuner, built in speakers, and a HDMI connection... Meanwhile, #2 seems to have better contrast ratio (20,000:1 vs 10,000) and response time (2ms vs 5ms)...

If I end up using one of these monitors for a PS3, wouldn't this mean I can just buy a cheap DVI to HDMI converter and get better visual results on #2 as opposed to the "naturally HDMI" supported #1? I honestly don't care about the built in TV tuner and speakers so it seems like #2 is the better buy... Am I missing anything here? Thanks in advance.

Same monitor, except the T220HD has two HDMI jacks so you can use it as a HDTV.

I have the T240HD and it's a piece of shit. The backlight is uneven, the color is poor, it died on me again this week. Don't get either of them if you ask me.
