CHKDSK won't skip
I'm having this weird problem with chkdsk in Vista. I scheduled one for all of my drives then restarted and let it scan well it froze at the end and no hard drive activity so I hit restart and it starts scanning again and freezes at the end again. So I restart again with the intent to skip chkdsk. Everything starts normal my keyboard turns on then when it gets to the windows splash screen its as if the keyboard freezes and will not work so when it gets to chkdsk I can't skip it when it asks if I want to.
My question is when you schedule a chkdsk does it go and mark the dirty disk flag? If so can gparted unmark that flag?
Edit: Just tried running startup repair on the hard disk and no go. Can't find out how to clear dirty disk flag in gparted. Still can't skip chkdsk
