What would you do? (Fishing/WW Guild Points)

I'm looking for people's opinions here.

I'm currently 91.6 Woodworking with Lumberjack, +1 Gloves, +1 Apron, and +1 Furniture. I have 8700 Guild Points currently, not a lot, but not enough that throwing them all away is ideal.

I have 16.1 Fishing and I'm now going for my Lu Shang Fishing Rod. My original plan was to fish the large majority of the first 5,000 fish, and then use 1.2 mil saved on my main Jeuno mule to buy up most of the latter half of the fish.

However, I recently came upon a Serket Ring through KSNM30 ODS and that will raise my gil total to just about 2 million, allowing me to buy a larger portion of my fish (and speeding up the process).

Now my question is would you think I ought to start saving up for one final item from the Woodworking guild (Moglification furniture, +1 Success Ring, or Warp Cludgel Anima Synthesis Key Item), or should I just fold it up, maybe sign a few items, before I switch to the Fishing Guild GP at 28 Fishing Skill in a couple months?

I'd say get the ring that doesn't let you HQ. Bloodwood lumber is a decent money synth if I'm not mistaken

Fishing gp isn't that great til the 50s and up, go for the ring and then swap to fishing after that. You'll want to get ebisu key item asap though, but that doesnt take long if your diligent about getting the gp fish every day.

Fishing gp is a lot harder than other guild gps, since 90% of the time you cant just buy your fish, but instead find yourself running halfway across the globe to some secluded fishing hole to catch 2 fish, just for 4-5K gp.

screw the lu quest, buy a halcyon and start fishing nebs until 27. Once you hit 27 take all the money you've made and buy a lu.

I'm prefering to buy it, just mentally. It always bothers me that people stumble across a Lu rod from a friend quitting and act like they're hot shit and fish on the boat announcing every skill up and bitching when their rod breaks and they have to trek to the NPC to get it repaired. I feel like I'd have earned it if I worked for it.

Additionally, on the GP thing, I'm prepping as best as I can for that horror by saving various non-Moats I come across on one of my mules, up to 2 day's worth of GP for that respective fish and although I do not have any Eastern fish yet, does the fishing guild ever ask for them (ex: Ahtapot?)? Or if they don't ask for them, can you ever trade them in, in place of the Western fish being asked for (ex: They ask for Grimmonites but you trade in Ahtapots?)?

If it's about a sense of accomplishment cool, otherwise it seems to me to be a waste of time to quest it.

No, when they ask for black sole you can not bring dils, etc.
