2 controller converters for one controller?

Not sure if this should go in Tech or Gaming but I'll try here.

I'm not familar with converters in general but is it possible to use a converter for DC ==> PS2/PSX ==> GC? Meaning having two converters for one controller. Couldn't find one from DC ==> GC directly.

Wanted to use my Topmax for DC on my Wii was basically the issue.

It should work, although there's the chance that you'll have a higher latency between commands, making it unplayable. That or the micro-controllers may not line up correctly, making certain buttons/commands useless.

I honestly haven't heard of a controller converter for Dreamcast to PS2 but if you did manage to find one and went from DC to PS2 to GC, it might work but there's also a chance of it having input lag.

If you're really just looking to only use this to play Tatsu vs Capcom, your best bet is to either find a PS2 stick and use a PS2 to GC converter (Red Octanes are pretty good if you can find one and it has PC and Xbox support) or buying a Hori stick for the Wii.

Your other option is to see how the Joystick is structured and see if you can wire a new PCB board to the buttons... but if that's if you're really dead set on using that specific controller for the Wii.

More than likely will fry the PCB on those boards than actually getting a decent solder off for the average person. Even then, you'd have to reshape the board/controller with a dremel and hope to god you get it to mount right without destroying the board.
