Question about wiimote batteries

Ok i wanna know if this is normal or not if it is normal well this stinks.

Ok so my wii is currently plugged in my bedroom, sometimes for pupose to play on a better TV i unplug my wii and go plug it in the living room, but the problem is this.

5min after i start playing it says that my wiimote batteries are dead which is impossible because i juste changed them. So i take the batteries and go put them somewhere else and they still don't work.

So i put new batteries in my wiimote and all work fine. When i bring my wii back down and replay bang 5min after dead batteries again.


So are all wii broken like that or is it mine only?

Not really had that problem with mine, have you tried checking the contacts on the Wii remote itself, or flipped the battery positions?

I've had cases where I went from it reporting 2-LED strength to 4 just by swapping the positions. ;/

Now, if we were to talk about my digital camera thinking half the batteries I put into it were dead......

IF i never unplug my wii, my batteries will last for the full effect.

I only have that problem if i unplug my wii from electricity and plug it somewhere else

Is it the pop-up in game that says the batteries are low? Because a bunch of times I have hit the home button and have that menu tell me my batteries are low, only for it to pop back up to full strength before I even close the home window.

He mentioned that they're still essentially dead after putting them into another device also, so all I can think of is that somehow his Wii remotes may potentially be faulty and somehow leaking the battery when the controller should be off, that or he's using a crap no-name brand, but I doubt that.

And it only happens when the Wii is unplugged only, not perhaps its powered-off state also? (when power LED is red, not yellow)

Right this only happens when i unplug the wii even if it'S for 5-10min

If i put the light red or orange for unknown amount of time it doesn't mather it will work

why not just spend 20 bucks on a recharging station? I bought the energizer one and it's amazing

That's just avoiding the problem, all i wanted to know is that if anyone had the problem.

The answer is no that it'S a problem on my side. That's all i wanted to know

Are you using rechargeable batteries? It's possible they may have developed a memory and just have a stupid short play life. I know there are times where it seems like my wiimote has eaten up a battery set pretty quickly. I know they burn faster if you've been playing games with the nunchuck. Overall, though, I got 8 rechargeables when I got my system, 2 more or less interchanged with my wireless keyboard while the rest go to the controller or other odd device in my room that might need some batteries (like my pencil sharpener when I feel like drawing).

NAh using new Non rechargeable batteries (Duracell)

Could be a contact problem with your wiimotes killing the batteries. I've never had this problem with mine. Just buy rechargeables.

I've never had this problem with my Wii but my Xbawkz eats batteries like nobodies business. Where my PC controller gets around 5weeks or longer on my rechargeable batteries my Xbox gets like 10days.

Is it all your Wiimotes doing it or one in particular? That might help you isolate the problem to a specific Wiimote if you have a couple you can try it on.
