Question about the stock/default effectiveness of the 360 D-Pad.
The 360 D-Pad has always been notoriously renown for horrible responsiveness, and such. I for one have been using a Wireless/360 for about a year now. Yet never have tried any of the "DIY's" online which require dissembling, sanding, etc.
As for my main question, my D-Pad right now is fine. The only part of the D-Pad that sucks bad is the "UP" button. Sometimes I can press the button all the way down and the controller does not reflect the input.
Would my controller be a candidate for the DIY mod? Or is this an entirely separate issue (since all my other D-Pad buttons from day one have worked fine, Its always been this damned button).
Anyways thought I would throw this out here since I know a lot of you use the 360 controller for SF4 or fighter games (which is why this is starting to get absolutely annoying especially now).
Thanks

Where could I find some of these DIY mods for the 360 controller? God, I hate that d-pad with a passion... on all 6 controllers I have

This is the one in question I'm looking at so far. I just don't know if its going to help with this issue.

works well for me without the sanding, just grab the proper torx (I forget the number) and a pringles top. Makes the D Pad alot more responsive, tho not as good as the playstation Dpad.
Go a step further and grab some automotive spraypaint if you do end up disassembling your controller..
