Looks like store owners there are hoarding on this, rumors pointing to a Canadian team getting the decryption key for PS3 and a modchip under it's way very soon. 25 gig downloads -> bluray burning?

heh... wonder how much they are selling for
Nah, Sony can/will implement updates to fix these holes ala PSP.
Even then, it's just a matter of not updating your PS3 and keeping it offline for a good 300 some free games, as has also been the case with the PSP.
I have 2 PS3's, my 60 gig one from 2007 is still never opened/updated..always thought I might keep it for the value or to mod it in the long run when the time comes.
The games can still trigger a check for the machine's FW version, thus forcing you to update. That's the main problem w/ PSP. It's done w/ all PSP games and that's why CFW almost stopped advancing.
I thought the PSP thing was avoided by deleting the firmware data from the image?
Yeah...it's such an easy work-around. And it would work in this case too.
Hey look the managed to get a copy of versus like a year early
On the other hand, kudos to Sony for making it so hard to break. It took no time at all in comparison to break the 360 and the Wii. This won't help them in the slightest, but the time it took to break in this day and age is somewhat impressive.
