"1. The phyla Mollusca, Annelida, and Arthropoda are all considered protostome organisms. Of these three phyla, it is believed that the mollusks and annelids are the most closely related.
List and briefly describe the protostome characteristics shared by these three phyla. Then, suggest some evidence that scientists have used to suggest the relationship between the annelids and mollusks"

I have a different lab teacher than lecture, and my lecture teacher doesn't require us to have the text book. That being said, this information isn't in our lab manual and I'm at a total loss here, as we have not yet come to protosome organisms yet in lecture (hell, I don't even know what one is).

Can anyone offer a helping hand w/ this question. Need it for my lab report due Friday.

    What's the question?

    nevermind, I see.

Protostomes. Prior to there being organisms with a digestive tract and entire digestive system there were organisms with just a mouth and anus.

Those three phyla fall under that umbrella. To kind of help you out a little, one characteristic they share is a true coelom (if I'm not mistaken).

Bleh, i googled it as "protosome organisms" since that's how he had it in the question. Thanks, I didn't get that result when I searched.

scholar.google.com is also pretty good for finding primary literature.
