    it sounds cool, but since he's using words like "could" and "potentially", i have a feeling we won't see it for a while still, if it even works

    Storage space is only as useful as it is needed. I don't see a need for this in the consumer industry anytime soon though I imagine that lots of tech firms will definitely make use of the possibilities. Especially many of the firms that still employ sneakernets to transport data.

    This sounds up there with holographic discs and crystal storage. We have the technology, it even has working models that could be practical if given to consumers now... but they aren't being pursued (or aren't being as far as I can tell.)

    Both those technologies are a few years old now, I've heard almost nothing since.
