Need a speech topic :o

Title, etc.

Pretty basic speech for my speech class. Supposed to be an icebreaker, has to be about a pet peeve, an opinion, or a humorous incident. Obviously you guys can't create a topic out of something humorous that's happened in my life, if anybody has one, I could always lie and said it happened to me. I'd much rather do a pet peeve or opinion though, but I can't come up with anything good.

Any thoughts?

And nothing about homos, that's for my next speech.

Plato was the bee's knees. Weak, thin and hardly worth mentioning. Of course we do mention the bee's knees an awful lot, usually in an ironic way that makes them seem like a good thing to bring up. So, I suppose when we bring up Plato, that's ironic too.

Fortunately for the bee, the hive offers excellent medical benefits, but there is a hefty deductible. Treatment for arthritis for the knees, especially in knees as weak and hardly worth mentioning as a bee's knees is a long and astoundingly expensive process.

The bee will need to take out a second mortgage on the comb and work overtime to make payments but he can't even do that because he's cooped up in therapy at the hospital and can't work and falls so far into debt that the queen has to confiscate his comb! His wife is forced into hard labor and his children are sold into slavery, and the bee is still in debt up to his thorax.

It's a sore subject for the bee.

The whole situation is so terrible that I say don't bring up the bee's knees again. And don't bring up Plato, either.

Trying to avoid topics that will piss people off for this speech.

We were supposed to hand in our topics a week ago, and I made some bullshit up because I hadn't though of one yet. We are allowed to change our minds completely, but I don't want to risk annoying the teacher by changing to something like that.

When I took public speaking ages ago, I had to do an icebreaker speech too. My speech was on how much I fucking hate deer.

It was more of a standup comedy routine about my two accidents involving the dumbest deer in history that I hit in my car, including one who, when I was at a dead stop, ran right into the fucking side of my car. It was excellent.
