thepiratebay has been giving me problems today, and I realized that I haven't really explored any alternatives.

Anyone know a good, public, non-invite torrent site on par with thepiratebay for days when it's down, like today?

Isohunt is pretty awesome. It's basically Google for torrents. It's free, public, and doesn't require you to register or anything.

just out of curiosity, whats wrong with piratebay? i want to see if you're having the same problems as me when i'm on there lately, lol. but i usually go to IPtorrents.com thanks to ragnell, and i have some invites left if you need

Is demonoid still up and working? Haven't downloaded anything in a couple of weeks (and at work now) and that was what I primarily used, so I have no idea if it's still around or not.

Demonoid works for all I need, it does go down on occasion but I've never had big problems with it.

For TV I use EZTV.
Anime, I check sub group sites first.
Porn, empornium.

If I can't find what I need there, I hit TPB and ISOhunt.
I've also been eyeing Monova a bit.

Honestly I wouldn't suggest any public tracker. Ever since I got a DMCA letter a bit over a year ago, I stopped torrenting. Then I got an invite to TorrentLeech. While I don't download like crazy, and there have been some infiltrations (I think there have been everywhere) I've yet to get anything (knock on wood) I really don't suggest anyone use anything public, unless you know you're not gonna get tagged for it.
