Repairing a crack in a bong

Well my bong that I dropped 120 on just cracked at the bottom when I put it on my table. I was wondering if there is anyway to salvage it and fix it. Really upset too because I just bought this because it had water percolators :/

Are they made out of glass or what? Just because it's a bong doesnt mean it has a special way to repair it. If it's made out of glass, just melt glass over the crack.

I actually cracked the bottom of my largest bong just last week, although mainly the base broke with a small crack in the actual tube part of the bong. What I did was get a water-resistant type of tape, stuck sticky-puddy over the small cracks, then completely covered those areas with the tape. Also, I glued on any large chunks on glass I was able to find that fell off, then used thick layers of tape to finish the circular shape of the base to avoid leaving it looking silly and having glass pointing out. Originally I did give it an initial taping with just normal tape, but bong water was clearly slowly leaking out because the tape got water-logged and stanky within a few days. How bad is the crack in your bong though btw? A pic would help in trying to get it fixed. For reference, here's what the base of my bong now looks like after taping and what not:

it was a pretty decent size but i have a piece of the glass. I got something from CVS called stix all gel (it may be gel cement?). It said it was water resistant i applied a few coats lettting it dry for now going to look up epoxy if /when this fails.

Also what was the deal with the melting glass over the crack? This might come in handy some time is it overly complicated

Wouldn't it be pricey to get the blowtorch or bunsen burner to melt the glass?

*finds it fitting that Kerb knows all about sealing aquariums, given the beasties he owns*

Be careful, getting glass to 1500 degrees and then getting it wet suddenly could cause it to explode, which could be well...
make sure you spoiler tag the picture of the aftermath.

I got clear silicone sealant and epoxy I don't know which one to use. On the back of epoxy it says not to breathe in vapors is that only while its drying or after its cured too? When you smoke you are only breathing in the vapors and the part of the leak is at the bottom (which means it has contact with the water so I'm just wondering which one is more health safeish?

That one emits 3-5% acetic acid when exposed to moisture or humid air (I.E. the water) so Iunno about that
