Urth's Fount, Gilgamesh, Mystery Trial Encounter

    Spoiler: show

Literal joke of a fight. Just stay out of AoE and Cooldown Sangetail. You can Leech/Esuna all debuffs except the ones granted from Gungnirs. Drops iLV50 vanity armor that anyone can need.

First phase - Enkidu + Greg.

Focus Enkidu, he just heals Greg otherwise.
-People who get purple tethers need to run to each other to dispel it.
-1tank+1healer+2dps will get chicken status at some point. Run into the whirlpools on the ground as a chicken to dissipate them, otherwise they blow for 4k+ dmg
-Greg runs off when Enkidu dies

    Second Phase - Greg

    - Dodge AoEs, kill adds when they pop
    - If someone gets chained, destroy it, keep Greg at a distance to lower the defense of the chain, otherwise it takes a year to destroy

    Reward is Enkidu minion.

    • It uses Triple, which makes it use the next move three times.
    • The orbs that spawn give it stacks and you take damage when you get hit unless you alternate the orb type then you take nothing.
    • When it opens the void, stand on the edge and wait for Blight to wear off. Any buffs/debuffs on you will last the full duration of this sub-battlefield. (They can be removed still, but it's potentially healing intensive so if you're with clueless nerds..)
    • Comets need to be absorbed by one person or they become AoE.

As easy as fanfest, seems you can't silence Einherjar anymore though.

Gilgamesh was a fun fight, so was the ??? fight. Odin would be fun if I could get in a group that could pass the dps check...

People seem to have the biggest trouble with meteors in Chrysalis, but it's because nobody takes advantage of the 10x duration mechanic.

It is unbelievably easy to cheese the entire thing if you have a PLD in the group. When 20% rolls around, just pop sprint + HG and they can run around the room taking meteors solo while the rest of the group destroys the add to get back out. You shouldn't have more than 2-3 hit with 7 people + LB3 on the add.

just simply get both tanks to eat meteor and other 6 to gank the node

not complicated at all even w/o buffs

no other way too, this is like how it was meant to be

dunno i took the meteors as a sch, just adlo and you barely take any dmg ----> run to next rinse repeat.

If you don't have blight they don't hit for shit, maybe 2k as a non tank. But yeah 2 tanks should be more than capable to handle the comets, pop sprint if you need to get across the field quickly you'll have plenty of TP once you resume the fight, shouldn't need to eat more than 6 in total if your DPS is strong and use LB on the shard.

When discussing Chrysalis strats you gotta keep in mind you're gonna be dealing with lowest common denominator groups, no reason to do the fight again except when you get it in trial DR.

Trying to explain the fight to 5-7 new people is a lot harder than it sounds, much less getting them to execute it properly (so many just straight up kill themselves on the orbs part....)

I've gotten it twice in my daily trial and my explanation is basically: soak orbs, alternate to a different type of orb on each soak. Tanks stand under meteors, DPS + melee LB3 the add when we move to the new zone.

Seems to work quite nicely, I don't even bother talking about the buff duration increase since that seems to fly over a lot people's heads in DF. Melee LB3 is generally more than enough to push you out of the meteor zone quickly even with the worst DPS in the world.
