Absorb can trigger !!, but as I posted in the abyssea weakness thread, I had a /brd threnody that should have procced fail because it was completely resisted. No effect work, since it wasnt a resist.

6.) General !! (red/grellow/blue) points.
--> !!'s will not proc if the monster is charging a TP move, executing a TP move animation, casting, or executing a casting animation.
--> If you stun them while charging a TP move or casting, you must wait until the actual animation is over before attempting to proc the !!. If you want to stun a monster to allow players to proc !!'s, it must be done while the monster is not doing anything.
--> Different colored !!'s will stack with each other.
--> If one color of !! is repeated, it will lower the drop rate of whatever that color activates.
--> Whatever you do, for the love of God do not call "grellow" !!'s 'green' or 'yellow'. They are Grellow, nothing more, nothing less.
--> Abilities (weaponskills or spells) that proc !!'s of any color can be resisted, partially or completely, or even absorbed, and will still proc !!.

My apologies, Nynja. I was going off of the 'incorrect information' you referred to in your post in the NM Weaknesses thread, for when I had written this thread you had not yet posted your screenshots in the NM Weaknesses thread, and I did not seek to look up the claim. However, you suggest that #14 implies that the burden of proof lies within he who questions the person who makes the contradicting statement, which is untrue - the burden of proof of an idea lies with he who makes the claim; i.e., you present a contradicting idea, you should be the one to say why. Regardless, you are still correct, and I fixed the main post. My apologies for the false information.

Mind posting any links about point 4 though? I can understand the two 2 RDM part, but MNK/RDM/BRD really? Even in that guy's post on FFXIAH about 3-boxing Carabosse he didn't say that it worked past that. Just curious is all, as my RDM is 72, and BRD & MNK have been sitting idle at 75 indefinitely for several reasons (though in MNK's case it's more about not having a fucking BB)

5.) Visions zones (La Theine, Konschtat, and Tahrongi) Gold Pyxides drop every NM-spawning key item except Twisted Tonberry Crown.

Minor because most people don't care, but I don't think you can get Smoldering Crab Shell key item off gold chests either in La Theine Plateau.

Also, like Nightfyre said, you should really clarify your first bullet point under #8 as it can be misunderstood to mean current day at any point in time. Weaknesses are determined upon claim only and do not change if the day changes so long as the monster does not go idle. If a mob goes idle it loses its previously set weaknesses and will gain a new set when claimed again.

You can't get that from gold or the bait pop item. But a lot of other random pop items you cant get anyway (from the mobs that appeared later etc).
