I thought that dropping the AF1 Body DW for Iga+2 Body was all the DW you were supposed to lose. Did I misunderstand?

If you're working with a total March +3 then yes, but with Ghorn or the new March+3 instrument plus the March+1 from BRD AF3+2 hands you need to lose more.

w/ March+3:

Not only you doubled my post with less info but you always confuse him even more. He can drop both hakama and dusk+1 if he equip byakko.

You also spreading false info about dusk +1 anyway. With +3 march capping haste in equip is pointless. You need only 23% haste in equip with af3+2 head, suppa and haste+march(+3).
You can then wear byakko + ocelot gloves even with +3 march and haste.

Well someone said that capping fSTR fo mandau is pretty easy outside abyssea. It's not. When on WS (Mercy) it's obviously easy because you will stack it for WSC but on TP it's almost impossible ( of course im talking here about 90+ mobs ) .

You need 52 more STR then mob has VIT to cap fSTR on Mandau(90) so for 95lv mob you need about 139STR ( 137 for 90 and 144 for 100 ). Those numbers are avg and idk if NMs can get some boost to VIT beside those from higher race and job rank.

Not only did your post pull numbers out of nowhere, which is fine for me who knows what those numbers are but not for a guy who isn't making the connection between new March gear and reducing your DW or haste, your numbers are wrong and you didn't even bother clarifying what set you were calculating for.

I'll skip the March +2 instrument and March +1 hands math, those numbers have been done in the stickies and elsewhere plenty of times by now. Marches are at 288/1024 with 90 Ghorn or the new March+3 instrument and BRD AF3+2 hands. Combine with Haste (150/1024) and you're at 438/1024, or 42.77% rather than the 43.75% cap which you calculated for.

Combine with capped gear haste (256/1024) and you're at 67.77% delay reduction. This requires only 38% DW to cap, so you could wear either Iga Zukin +2 and swap out Suppa, or you could keep Suppa and swap out Iga Zukin for something else and shuffle your haste gear a bit. I will note that since you're really at 40% DW either way you can cap delay reduction with 25% gear haste instead of the true capped 26%.

If you keep both, putting you at 45% DW, you only need a total 63.6% haste to cap (652/1024). This equates to 214/1024 in gear, or 21-22% depending on how many pieces you're wearing that get the extra 1/1024 instead of being 20/1024, 30/1024, etc. You can NOT drop both Iga Hakama +2 and Dusk Gloves +1 in this situation, as that would put you at 61/1024 (head) + 71/1024 (waist) + 50/1024 (legs) + 20/1024 (feet) = 202/1024 unless you intend on using Iga Kyahan +2 instead of Usukane Sune-ate as well, which is an inefficient trade.

Looking for Non mandau, don't have one. I'm under the impression that STR is good for increasing your damage ceiling while attack is good for increasing your damage floor. Is this even somewhat correct?

This would be my current setup for Evisceration, Dancing Edge, Mandalic Stab and Shark Bite, (with the appropriate elemental belt).

Other options include: Elemental gorgets (shadow and breeze), tumbler trunks, atheling mantle. What would you suggest when, and what else should be on my radar for upgrades?

On the other hand my statement about dusk +1 is true. They are not needed to cap even with +3 marches.

Im not talking about not having haste on hands at all. I'm talking about 4% on hand slot is not needed. 3% will cap you too (ocelot gloves) on march+3 and haste and will allow to drop hakama for byakko with march+4.

Using 40% DW (Zukin/no suppa): 245/1024 (25% labeled) gear haste to cap.
Using 45% DW (Zukin/Suppa): 214/1024 (22% labeled) gear haste to cap.

With +3 march BRD (back-calculated from subtracting Kirschy's "+1 march adds 16/1024" twice from Nightfyre's number):
Using 40% DW (Zukin/no suppa): 277/1024 (unattainable)
Using 45% DW (Zukin/Suppa): 246/1024 (25% labeled)
Using 50% DW (Zukin/Suppa/AF): 209 (21% labeled)

This setup would be when you dont have marches+4/haste. You can make swaps for black tath/Agasaya/Bushi(assuming you dont have Supp)/Mars ring for acc issues, can even swap out Ace's to Usukane while only losing a minimal amount of haste for accuracy and keeping your build intact.

*things to note, bushi over cent and Pyrosoul over strigoi if you actually get an fstr out of it, which from playing with numbers happens more than I projected(its +3 str though so no entirely a surprise). Inside abyssea no.

So in high haste situation with haste/marches, 6 hits RCB 26% gears haste masa sam is better than 5 hits RCB 24% masa sam due to 2 seconds delay in JA and 2% gear haste or am I missing something?
