I still think you're really lost...
you're saying offhand weapon wont matter as far as WS goes when dual wielding
But when I said:
you went off about how I'm trying to use Hi with a katana that doesnt let you do Hi, let alone doing Hi with a dagger.
somehow implying that I meant mainhanding a Mercurial Kris...?
So, once again, you're saying that Blade:Hi damage will be similar in the following two weapon scenarios:
Main: Kannagi
Sub: Kamome
-vs-
Main: Kannagi
Sub: Mercurial Kris
on the basis that "dmg on dual wielded weapon have no impact on your WS" (factoring in the crit bonus on Kamome)?
But there might at 95/99!
EDIT:
Also: when dual wielding, all hits of the WS are done with the main hand, except the extra hit that dual wielding adds, it is done with the off hand weapon. (and any DA/TA procs from that offhand hit are done with offhand weapon too)
Is that what people are wondering?
mojo , ur post this morning about wildfire and cloudsplitters +2 numbers ... are the numbers for each respective WS reversed?
I'm not lost it's just my poor english skill can't handle my thoughts.
1. I said Kannagi base dmg will be factored in for ALL hits in of WS including the ones added from dual wielding.
2. You questioned it by its being illogical that hits done in theory by subbed weapon has dmg of main weapon.
3. I was trying to say following your way of thinking its also illogical that you can use club, dagger or w/e else to do dual wielded hits on katana only WS, yet its possible in game so logic has sometimes no use in game mechanic. (I wanted to say that if you can use club to to dual wield in katana WS there is also a chance that theory of actual hitting your sub weapon in dual wielded WS can be false)
4. Because of my poor english you tho I'm trying to say its impossible to actually sub dagger and do :hi, when I only was trying to say it illogical.
5. I hope this time its more clear.
We are wondering about which base dmg is factored in math behind additional hits from dual wield, main or sub.
What is worth to add if there is really sub hand weapon base dmg factored in then all calculation done in past few months for avg and max dmg for dual wielded WS like :Hi, Rudra, Eviscreation, etc. are in bigger or smaller part a trash![]()
This is indeed a random question: What's the best job to solo in WoE given these choices (RDM BLM SMN BRD PLD THF SAM DRK) - applicable subs are leveled. Also, what's the easiest set of mobs to go with? Search function is failing me with this question.
Uhh, I was under the impression your offhand wouldn't even fire during WS if you're using a weapon not of the same 'type' as your mainhand.
Random question: What are the requirements for posting in the new 'mathy parts' section of the forums? There are a couple items I want to ask about and one that I want to ask the best method for testing.
You can just ask it here if you want. I'm not sure what the requirements are for posting there really.
I think we're just trying to get a set of testing super-stickies.
I hate giving out bad information but I lent m.silvers for Rambus on Bismarck to finish his Yoichi and i think he said that light gorget consistently did more damage than no gorget or something like that. I can't confirm this since Rambus was just a friend of a friend and I don't really talk to him. Don't quote me though =\
Also, thanks Appie for the link.
I think it'll be difficult to get an exact answer. Have someone /w Yoichi test works best for me!
Also, obscure testing, but there has been obi tests for magic!

I will test light gorget with namas tomorrow. I've been using it the entire time I've owned yoichi because I read on wiki it works so IT HAS TO BE TRUE.
Also, has anyone tested crushing cudgel atma for the dmg%+?
EDIT:
Actually I think I did this already on accident, when I was messing around with 90 yoichi namas boost I used light gorget/belt. There was the normal fTP boost with it.
I don't have the option of posting there. Says I'm not authorized. The only time something like that has ever happened was on like a 3 year anniversary of the only minor infraction I ever had and I couldn't post in one section for some reason. Was kind of y2kish. Oh well, I'm probably too lazy to do whatever would be recommended to test this anyways.
