Looking at the update notes and trying to figure out what they mean when they mention helix reaching its full potential at 60. Does that mean SCH 60? Or can a blm over 60 subbing sch get the same boost?

Guess it will depend on how good they are at 95. Helices have always been good damage in total but the problem was always that they were too slow in delivering that damage and afaik you can't stack them. So they were only really worth doing on long fights.
They should also undo the MV nerf, nobody cares that you can theoretically 1-shot things with 18 SCHs and some 3rd party tools and with today's content nobody is going to go through the hassle of trying it on anything.
I'd be happier if they just made the MV nerf into something more sensible. That is, no delay on using MV, and any number of SCH can use it together with no delay between them, however the server will just process them in sequence, and once the duration gets below a tick, it just stops processing further MVs and lets the remaining tick play out at whatever strength it got up to.
Or an even crazier idea. If a mob has a Modus Veritas'd Helix on it, no one else can use Modus Veritas on it. Or only the person who cast the Helix can Modus Veritas it.
The second one would probably be too hard to implement, but the first one seems entirely plausible. This way no more mob one-shots and Modus Veritas can go back to 100% accuracy again.
Really makes me wish they'd post their laundry 'to-do' list of adjustments/bug-fixes and have the community vote on what should get prioritized.
And then we'd come cry on here after we realize it was a horrible idea and random shit gets voted to the top by people who only started FFXI/came back when Abyssea came out.
I can't imagine the first one is even hard. Just make MV it's own status. *BAM*, won't stack with itself. Given that they've add new status effects *all the time* (See: Addle, Muddle, Scarlet Delerium, etc...) I cannot imagine how even their spaghetti code would make this hard.
Adding new status effects is probably within the scope of their developer toolset. The question becomes how literally the suggestion is translated from English to Japanese, and then how seriously the Developers take it. Considering that the Devs receive feedback from the various Com teams in the form of a forum, it's very possible that they're forced to skim over a lot of good ideas in order to try to read everything.
This is assuming it gets past the Confederacy of Dunces. Maybe if we tack on a SMN melee improvement and Spirits update, we might get somewhere. Go go pork barrel feedback.
I swear to god if SMN Melee happens I will stab you. Don't even jokingly suggest it. SMN should not, will not, and never ever should melee. It's a mage job for fuck's sake. The only 'mage' job that should melee is BLU, because they were designed to.
God, I know you're kidding, but the SMN Melee thing pisses me off so much.
If that WAR swaps gear and has a TP/WS set then he pulls ahead of the RDM by a ridiculous margin though.
Also, anyone able to put this into American outside of google translate?

The whole voidwatch/plate post is just him basically saying he's heard about the voidwatch feedback, he hears the demands from the playerbase about heavy metal plates, just typical "keep sending us your feedback" type of deal.
"Into American" haha.
Just messing with you
Speak American, it's the only language I understand.
