Getting bored of mnk'ing it up to everything and want to start dragooning things, so gonna start working on OaT polearm assuming its still the best option out besides mythic atm. Has anyone tried to duo/trio blob without using puddle hax? Like maybe just putting a pld or mnk on it and just "super tanking" the adds+blob? Havent fought it since 75 and dont really want to drag my ls out to do it.

Honestly, why would you waste your cruor on Orthrus? He's probably the squishiest body+2 dropping NM other than Bennu, and has the least dangerous TP moves other than Empousa. If you have enough people to chain-brew it efficiently, you have enough people to kill it in under 2 minutes anyways.

because id rather have as little involvement from my ls as possible, and the people holding the pops would likely all be leechers. this way id be able to do it on my own time instead of during events, spending a few hours to kill 10-15 instead of 5 a week

Your cruor, so whatever. But you can't really expect an answer on which WS brews orthrus best since no one brews him to begin with. Just try all the standard stuff, Aeolian Edge, Sanguine Blade, Flash Nova, Wildfire (probably won't work), Cataclysm, etc. and see what works best.

Asking here since more people post in this thread rather than the crafting thread. I have 100+3 smithing, the gloves, apron, and the anvil, will the synergy stall make that 100+4 then? Also, does the blacksmith's board and hearth both add +1 each or is the smithing cap 104?

As you state "assume capped acc" then that leads itself into melee/attack/whateveryouwanttocallit foods, but keep in mind there might be times where you're relying more on magical spells than physical, so having something available like cream puffs is worth considering for those situations.

I have 2 questions about the enhances potency on the rdm af3+2 functions. The wiki describes it as a 10% increase but I'm wondering what exactly the 10% means in terms of slow potency.

As described in Kirschy's thread http://www.bluegartr.com/threads/587...jo-and-Slow-II slow2 potency caps at 400/1024 or roughly 39.06% slow.

1) Does the body allow slow potency to increase beyond 400/1024? If so, by how much?

2) How is the 10% considered - is it 10% slow potency (29.06% is needed to reach 39.06) or that 10% more x/1024 values are added (~363/1024 values are needed for a 39.06% slow) or something different entirely.

Resubbing today just to mess around with soloing old content and stuff on Ninja, I was wondering what the normal katanas are now? Or if anyone could point me towards some items that have come out since 75-80 that are big for Ninja. I know the Empyrean katana is obviously amazing but I won't get that, just looking for some that I can get solo/duo or relatively easily.

None of them sadly.
The NMs are: Yaguarougi, a Byakko From Hell; Teugghia, a nasty fastcast BLM fairy; and Ironclad Smiter, an Ironclad, have fun procing.

Smiter is probably your best bet, since it's on the path to Rani and it has drops for Ochain, there's demand for it.

Failing that, do the quest "The Egg Enthusiast". Repeat it as many times a day as it takes to get one seal, then STOP, it'll help you from going insane. Do this once each day, and you'll have your +1 in just over a week. Alternately, wait for the update to see where they're gonna put new seal sources.

What? Yaguarougi is eyes closed simple, easiest fucking fight ever.

DNAval NM's don't favor any sort of seal, it will drop NIN, we finished my friends NIN body and my WHM body at the same time.

We finished NIN, WHM, and SMN around the same time, our last fight the NIN was 9/10 and the tiger droped 4, so, him "Favoring" another seal is bullshit.
