Probably, though I'd bring a BLU to complete your grellow proc options. It depends how good your SAM is, but Tristitia isn't a particularly ferocious monster now that it has been patched.

it might work, but i think the level-correction would bring the numbers down significantly. sort of like how KA's waterga IV does such shitty dmg because he's so much lower level (even at 75).

Given that ws gear, what would an ideal TP set look like in abyssea, with VV, and red curry? Relevant fact: I usually have haste, very rarely have marches.


Current TP set: (and by current I mean have had less than 2 days and not used it much, this is what I threw together)

Tried to keep 26% haste but I don't have access to dusk +1 so having to use aces and make up for it with unkai earring and such. I'm not sure if I'd be better off at 24% haste and af3 head and maybe atheling.

Just trying to put a set together strictly for abyssea with VV and red curry, to clarify.

For the NINs wondering about some basic katana options without dipping into trials, Kamome and Sekirei would be some options. The latter is mainly just for a damage upgrade over level 75 options, though.

I know that Ranged Weapons differ in their sweet-spot (Strikes True) range for TPing. However, does anyone know if that sweet-spot is also the best distance to WS from for that weapon? Or do Weapon Skills have their own sweet-spots independent of Ranged Weapon choice?

WS gear > Varangian helm. Unkai back. Not sure if you're working in your unkai kote +2 for WS but those of course.

TP gear > Unkai kabuto +2, dusk gloves, toss those ace's hands asap, assuming thats a tactical mantle there and you're good to go for a 5 hit

Dagger trials: Assuming BRD only and barring twashtar and WoE, which daggers would be good? I'm looking at parazonium (either 2-4 or Double attack+) and STR Kila.

For BRD I can't see anything other than STRx2.

You're never going to have enough atk on BRD vs anything substantial unless you're singing minuets, which is one step forward and two steps back.

As for ws, unkai/fortis mantles are better in their respective situations(uncapped/capped att), swap to Vara helm when you know youre capped on acc with it(referring to DA/TA). Lower defense mobs, Twilight body would be better. Beir+1 belt is better under uncapped attack situations.
