I only got a Meteorite off of the Crawler that is on the hill on the way from the outpost to Windurst Waters. (With TH6, 2 times; killed pretty much every other Cralwer in the zone with no luck.) I am not sure if it is the only one that drops them or not.

I did a basic wikipedias search etc, but still can't find the answer:
Does Conserve MP gear have to be worn before starting to cast the spell, or does it activate when the spell fires off?
On a similar note, anyone knows how it works for Blood Boon/Ninja Tool Expertise/Recycle? Precast or when the ability/spell fires off?

From what I remember from a long, long time ago, I think that Conserve MP has to be equipped when the spell goes off, not when you start casting.

Good place to do Slime trials for Magian sticks? Preferrably places with lots of slimes, and very little adds since I can muster a sucker for myself instead of being restricted to single nuking slow killing.

Also, does anyone have a link to that Magian Stave guide that was posted months ago? The one that basically gave ideas for all the trials for the dmg versions? Searching for "Magian" "Staff" and "guide" on these forums... offers no real help. Any chance someone have it bookmarked?

I did most of my slime trials (with the exception of the weather trials which are just a pain in the dick) in the Den of Rancor. There are billions of them there and many safe camps. I had to wander around because of the 16 minute repops, but it was worth it to avoid the billions of people doing trials in Bostaunieux Oubliette. (Seriously, any time I try to do a trial tons of people show up to camp against me. I am cursed.)

In Abyssea I use AF3+2 hands over Heafoc. (not that I SAM in abyssea much)

Still need to get Ace's Mail, LSmate got it today and doesn't have SAM,DRG or DRK lvled. /facepalm event.

Then to craft Mekira-oto +1 and farm Hachiryu legs again.

Is having the pyrosoul ring better over strigoi ring? I've been putting off on getting either one of those rings because I didn't wanna waste time or gil, if I found one was better than the other.

Is it worth losing the zanshin bonus from aces hands on your tp set as well, I assume the stp you're getting from ammo/neck/feet outweighs that bonus? is it worth using the Mala Necklace with quad attk+ for now?

Assuming inside I'd say

Head: Mekira-Oto +1
ear: Vulcan's Pearl, crit rate augment on light earring instead of kemas
body:Lncr. Plackart +2, Fazheluo R. Mail, Ace's Mail maybe. Not sure what base crit rate is on DB so maybe zahaks still best.
hands: Maybe heca+1 with good augments.
rings: Obviously Pyrosoul Ring or strigoi ring instead of vulcan and rajas
waist:idk maybe beir+1

I got a Logitech Gamepad F310 to play with PC, since i've always done the controller/keyboard combo and needed to replace my other Logitech controller. However, in the gamepad settings in the FF config, it won't let me allocate the macro palettes to the 2 rear triggers like I've always had. The buttons above them work, but not the triggers below. The older controller lets me allocate them just fine. Anyone else have this problem or know of a fix?

Not quite. It pops in the gears AS well as within the acroliths. Not sure exactly where it roams to post popping in the acroliths as we've popped and killed it there.

Yeah, it has to be on when the cast completes (when you spend the MP).

Are there updated lists for Altana Viewer? The Killing Ifrit topic only has the update from the one before last. Can't find september update lists anywhere.

Also, Best/Second Best feet for Thf Dancing Edge and Evisceration outside Abyssea? Think I was told Lithe Boots for evis inside. No idea for either DE or Evis set outside. Unstacked WS that is.

Bump for altana viewer lists. On the thf feet front, spreadsheet showing hecatomb+1>agronas>hecatomb>lithe I think, but have I missed anything?

Also has BG been going down a lot lately? Seems to go down daily for me. Always around this kinda time (someone told me daily backup/maint?) and sometimes around 12 hours ago.

Can't you only hold one though? He heals in the thousands about 5-6 times, so LP+3, Megaelixir, Lucid Elixir+2 could be 3 of those I guess.

I had the same issue and couldn't figure it out. I made my macros in the R1,L1 slots and auto run off the select button. It took a day to get used to but now I prefer it.
